I mean wow. This is an extreme edge case, but I point it out to basically put in to focus the true focus of this. Do we want a 'mercy' rule where a game is forced to be forefeit by a team being stomped? Do we want to suddenly cause a team winning like this to be forced to quit?
Where do you come down on this? What could be done that is fair to all parties? If it could not be completely fair, what is the least unfair solution, and to whom will be given the onus of being given the least fair resolution.
Nothing in life is 100% fair, so how close can we get to equity for all parties?
The best comment in that video is the radio host: "We want our kids to have grit. You don't get grit winning 161 to 2, you get it by LOSING 161 to 2." (I paraphrase)
Worst attitude must be that principal who just shouldn't be involved with kids sports.
