Well, it took me 2 hours of playing to get 3 qualified games.
And there were realy good games with 3 kills, 9 assists or 800+ damage that didnt count.
So I decided this challenge is nothing for me.
30 points is to much grind and I prefere RL over MWO this weekend
If it would be a win plus either kill or assist to qualify it would be great but win + kill + assist make bad gameplay for me and to much time.
But never the less good luck to all who still paticipate and thanks for the premium.

also epic event design.
especialy when u focus on playing heavy mechs and have ETERNITY LONG QUE TIME.
once u get into game its unplayable cause every1 is just going after the easiest mechs first.

I went in with my light mech (sniper raven) and since point of this mech is support fire I make 0 kills.

this is event is as bad as war thunder events.

Why are players having such extremely different view on the playing going on this weekend?

Seems about half are having a good time, other half are grinding endlessly getting nothing but pissed off?

Is the elo/matchmaker really that porked?
I know the last challenge I was having a horrid time, doing my best, getting kills, the team loses, so bad I quit after a few hours.
Now, the opposite... wtf?

wow, cpt. obvious if 50% players is having good game (cause they r winning) means that the other 50% will have bad game cause they r on the losing end.

I just had a battle, with players just like that on my team. We lost badly, got my kills, but lost.
The rampant frustration and epic whining become a self fulling prophecy of loss.
The waits are NOT that bad..go sit in CW que for a few nights and tell me this is bad.
pro tip: look at the que and take something that isn't top loaded, I see lots of heavies, take an assault, or a light with ECM and steal kills while providing a service.
If you focus ONLY on one mech tonnage, no wonder you're unhappy. Learn the game.

nothing worse than a player who dies early on because no one read his "I'm going to charge alone into *" then QQ's the rest of the match on how much we all suck...please

Unfortunately i have to master diaper changing of my new and first born son first ^^ Luckily i don't want the CTF as bad as i wanted the VTR.

just stayed long enough to get the premium time- of course because i didn;t plan on going for the phrat i got 3 qualifiers in 4 matches.... 30 qualifying matches over a weekend is a bit much for my play schedule.

too bad there wasn;t a middle ground prize for say 15 wins (say 500k cbills or something like that) this time. i usually like the 3 prize level contests because the first two are usually very doable with moderate play time like i have and if i'm feeling daring i can try for the third. but then again they need to cater to all ranges of playtimes so not all of the contests are going to be perfectly set up for me.

Does this happen often, or just frustrated over this particular weekend event?
I'm asking cause if you're inexperienced mech player, MWO WILL dump in with other experienced challenged players.
Even when you have a couple of thousand battles under your belt, MWO will think...hmmm, he SHOULD be able to carry 11 other crap players...happens.
let it go, just battle the mech, its easy enough to get the 3 points, then DO NOT ACTIVATE it once you got 3 points. Wait till next friday, log in, and boom three day premium and NO monkey express.

Back to reality..

The only problem with this tournament is that you could play absolutely awesome, carry the team, the team still sucks and you lose, no prize...

..that and the number of players doing stupid things to try and get a point just degrades the whole gameplay.

That said my solution was to simply bring out the 4uac5 Direwhale and just go nuts. Sorry if I take all your kills.. ..i would rather win my games..

Did my stats, exactly 60 games required, only one win in last five games though (trying too hard?)

The challenge was much nicer without the "no death" requirement as there wasnt the same level of stress involved! Funnily enough it appears i only died 5 times in my qualifying games anyways.

I made about 4 mechs to play and tricked them out (soon as I died went to next mech) . The games are fast and aggressive. As long as games were close I would try for kills, once game seemed in hand I did try legging mechs. Definitely bring your "carry" mech, leveling a mech in this competition is unfair to your team and likely frustrating to yourself!!

I announce at the start, I will only take ONE kill, and help others.
We've been on a serious win streak since.
22 battles, 14 points.
I am not going to take more than one kill. Premium is racking cbills and my go to pummel factory direwhale is one legging SOB.
I've crippled... dont know how many left for team mates.

Sounds reasonable all you need is 3 wins with a kill and kill assist for the premium time and the do that another 27 wins with 1 kill and assist and you get a free mech and mech bay.
