The thing with the Dire Wolf S Variant is that it won't do much with just those 3 JJs. It will be nice not getting stuck on every pebble or defeated by every incline in elevation and definitely help in moving over a lot of terrain that is tough sledding for the Dire Wolf. However, will it be worth its tonnage? If any 'mech has weight to spare it IS the Dire Wolf and maybe where the JJs are located will be a big part of how popular these omnipods are.

What scares me about the DWF-S is this in combination with the discussion on Ghost heat and thinking about trying something else and turning it off for a while. 6PPC+Gauss DWF poptarts? GG

If this game had a stock mode there would be more of a desire for them. But it looks like stock mode may be coming, so there is always hope.

I haven't gone back and listened to the broadcast again. I was listening live last night, but I distinctly remember a comment about a Stock Game Mode.

I need to listen to it again tonight.

I was refering more to the fact that its unlikely that the Direwolf would be able to...jump high enough to even see over the hill.

3jjs on a 100ton 'mech will let it get MAYBE 5m off the ground.

Also I'm sure ghost heat wouldn't disappear without some sort of replacement plan to reduce the alphas for all the cry-hards.

I am really not waiting for another poptart generation like shortly happened after the introduction of Victors and Dragon Slayers when PPC was not nerfed.

However after the nerf, i still see plenty of PPC's. Just less ER PPCs.

PVE is actually kind of promising as it would be VERY nice to see infantry on CW maps coming out with small lasers firing away, hiding in trees taking cover...where you can't just stomp through them without it slowing your mech down and star wars ewoks type scenes happening *collision fall down*

Also with the enviromental destruction, massive forest battles with slowly spreading fire that drastically reduces cooling; so an assault with a flamer is useless but an ECM mech sneaking up can change the outcome of a battle. If they trees were like crysis...I'd so be chopping the tops off them for fun for a while there....Oh oh and falling debris damage!Yes, canyon maps with rock slides.

You think you're excited? You should feel my nipples!

Also timberwolf D is umm stupid, it just undoes the S torsos that needed a nerf for 12v12(CW 4 SRM6's on Boreal you are going to be hurting getting in range on average) unless the arms have cERPPC quirks, which I'd be against on the TW except cooldown ones as that just makes bad pilots go statue mode faster.

Thank you for posting this! It really helps a lot of pilots like me, who have been too busy with RL to keep up with MWO or play it this week!

Was hoping for Timberwolf A and Dire Wolf C, but these aren't bad.

The A is available, though the D is easier to implement. Simply copy paste the S, remove hardpoints, done.

If we get it, I'm liking the thought of 3 ERLLs and 6 ERSLs.

44. New IS Weapons? Streak 4s and 6s, Snub nose PPC, Blazer, LBX ammo changes? For now we're sticking with timelines. But if we should have something already we'll look at it as a priority.

Blazer

My thoughts exactly! I freaked out a bit when I heard that! (But then... maybe that means PGI will put Blazers in game soon?)

PLEASE change heat capacity. You guys keep talking about how you want to make it take longer to kill mechs. Well the heat capacity is one of the huge problems. It's way too high. Lower that to 30 (normal battletech) or about and we'll have MechWarrior back, and you could straight up get rid of ghost heat too. Brawling would be a thing again, people wouldn't be able to alpha everything all the time, making having short range and long range on a mech viable. triple ppc thunderbolts and 8 sml pulse firestarters would no longer be OP. think about it

That's precisely why I was hoping for it---those 3 high mounted lasers.

As far as prioritizing things like fixing ghost heat & ECM and adding 4v4 & extra missions, I would rather see crappy mechanics fixed before adding new content, especially because actual content would surely take considerably longer to do.

Yes, time for some heat changes. Did he mention when, got to get the news out?

Urbanmech, Check!

Now add Jumpjets (decent ones please) and the Long Tom mortar and it'sssssss URBIE DODGE BALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks PGI for all the hard work....

Now about those new maps, please make them much bigger!!! We do not need more one dimension, artistic masterpieces like Terra Therma, but ones that will play out differently with variable spawn points, choice of urban and wilderness terrain on same map, room to maneuver and attack and variable mission targets, bases, forts, drop zones, space ports, etc to secure, destroy, occupy or defend. Thanks for hearing our pleas....

I just noticed there is an extra laser on that TBR-A. Does the ER Small go in the CT or RT?
