[Bill Lumbar]

I just came out of a CW match, with Mickey Knoxx and his crew of Smoke Jags. Start of the match, Mickey chats out a challenge. Their best three pilots against our best three pilots, 1vs1, and for the planet. If we took their pilots down, the deal was that they would walk us in, kill their turrets, and let us take out omega for the win.

I was like hell yes, I accept your challenge clanner, and he was like meet us at alpha, no one fire, and we will dual it out for the planet. Needless to say, our team didn't accept the terms, and felt the need to fire on the clanners. I screwed up and went to Gamma, its been awhile since I have played this map on CW. I was in my Thunderbolt 9S of course, you know how us IS pilots roll. By the time I got to alpha, there was already many clanners there before I even made it to the gate. They fired on me..... I didn't fire back, I have honor and my word. They took me out in my thunderbolt, and then, things get interesting. More interesting then any CW match I have ever dropped in to date.

We as players can change the game play in this game at anytime. All it takes is honor, creativity, and keeping our word. I am working on the converting the fraps video of this battle, and I will post it as soon as I have it finished. This was a epic battle, and if my team would of just sat back and followed through with the challenge, we could of taken the planet, and ALL got our point for the challenge for the CAT. This game could be so much fun, if the "loose cannons" would just get back to what gaming is really all about.

Always nice to see Clanners do that. I've seen quite a few challenges though. Half the time, some children ruin it for everyone, but half the time it works out.

I will likely never honor a Zell call, not as a Clanner, not as an IS. You can never get everyone to play along, and I sure as **** am not going to walk in and just let the enemy ******* up because they dont wanna play by the "Honor Code" of Zell.

Maybe if this game was 15 years ago, when players were not all idiots, maybe, I know on Pistol only servers when it was the call, I did just that, despite all the idiots who would break out Assault rifles and crap.....but now? You call Pistol only, people will drive in with tanks and be all.."what? why you all using pistols?"

Alistair, I $hit you not.... we had several that tried to ruin it, but I am working on uploading the Video to Youtube right now, and by tomorrow I will be able to post it here. The match was unreal, and it is too bad my team didn't take the clanners up on it, because I won it for us. I took on their pilots.... well stay tuned for the footage, its a shame that it turned out like it did... we had it!

So 1-1 you were able to out do some OP Clans in just ur UP 9s? Amusing.

Maybe this is what is wrong with this player base...... maybe this is why so much is F'd up with this game. We have complete control over what happens in every match, if we all come together as gamers with honor. My god.... just imagine what could be, if we all just got back to the "roots" of real gaming.

Ummm no... I started in a 9S... and they killed me after my team opened fire on them. I went to a Boom Jager,(it was a surprise to his timber, LOL) to a BJ to a Thunder 7 med pulse laser with AMS. It will take till tomorrow to post the video on youtube.....stay tuned if you are interested. What a match! Windows Movie maker took this from around a 60gb fraps file to 4 gb. It is gonna take awhile to upload to Youtube, am guessing by tomorrow some time I will have it posted here.

Correction.... It is a 92gb fraps video.... lol, It went the full length as they marched in with me to kill omega.

That's cool. I was in a match with CGBI and as I was last man standing on my team, they offered a challenge. I actually had a nice duel with a Mad Dog in my AWS-8Q until 2 of the pugs on their team started to intervene.

I guess the best chance of seeing stuff like that happen without interruptions is to play 12 vs 12 man groups between large units.

If that is the competition/teammates that Tasker is used to seeing, that would indicate to me that Tasker must be also very unskilled for the matchmaker to pair him with/against such people, elite founder or not, quiaff?

I am stoked to get this video of the battle uploaded to Youtube ASAP. I am in the boonies and have a 10 meg down load speed, but only a .5 meg upload speed. Kinda sucks for uploading and I have heard Youtube doesn't like anything over a gig when uploading videos.

Thanks for the applaud..... if just two of my fellow IS would have accepted the challenge they put forth to us, hell even if just one of them would of not fired and stood by, the out come would of won us the match and points for all in this weekends event. The terms were so simple, its a shame no one was up for it. Video is at around 50%, so it might be past 4pm before I can get it up on here.

Sounds pretty interesting. I wonder how often the Clans do this with one another in the CvC fights? If you're going to go clanner, why not go full clanner?

Of course IS will be IS in most cases. Though taking down a clanner one on one and winning a planet or at least contributing to the outcome is some serious bragging rights.

From what I have seen, not many times. Video is 70% uploaded guys.. my god this is taking forever! I am not really interested in the bragging rights for this one... but it was a lot of fun to try and take a planet this way. The most fun I have had in CW to date out of any game I have dropped. I really just wanted the win, and the point for the comp this weekend... I am still only at 19 wins.. and this event has been brutal for me.

This happens when they feel like giving spirited warriors saddled with lesser teammates a fighting chance, or the gates are taking too long to open and jumping the gates to crash the DZ is getting old.
