And that is why you get no respect and everyone ignores you.

How about instead of nerfing a mech that's in a good spot they buff the mechs that aren't?

Ever hear of the concept of "inflation"?

It's not just for money anymore.

Unfortunately, that is what most of it comes down to.

Well, L2Aim if you wanna be specific I suppose.

Shin... your Spider teammate clearly collided with you while trying to join in. It wasnt lag or hit reg. PGI's collision coding... Yes. Nothing more.

*Think you guys may have missed the point.

Well... If hit lasers hsr was any good.. I would have legged him way before that.
You should be aware I play I high ping. Until you play at more than 233ms+ all the time....
Do understand that lag is a problem for me... All the time...

Point is the 'OP FS' can still be taken down.
PGI netcode and collisions cause weird things to happen in the game.

Listen, I'm not saying it's easy to run at top speed and hit a light mech also running at top speed while the two of you zig zag around, and trying to get a full burn using lasers - it isn't.

I watched the video twice, and an awful lot of your laser burn is hitting the floor or just missing.

A lot of damage was lost that way.

Learn to aim? really? Many players can't afford the triple 32 inch monitors that make so many 'elite' player's aim possible.

Yes, most aiming is monitor quality based.

Er, no.

The only competitive player I know that plays MWO with a triple monitor setup is Hairpiece. Everyone else uses 1 monitor, typically in to 20" to 25" range. Like normal people.

Unless you're using a TV as your monitor quality hardly matters... everything has too low of a refresh rate to make it much of an issue.

The difference between elite players and the rest of the game's population has nothing to do with equipment. Wispsy played on a potato. Atkinson currently plays on a potato.

We've been over this before. Your pc equipment after a certain point doesn't have much to do with the game. Yes if you are playing on a computer that doesn't even meet the min requirements and can only run 5fps and its on a 14" TV from 1989 then you will have issues. But if you play on a computer that pulls something like 40fps on low settings on a 22" monitor then going to something like 120fps max settings on 3x32" monitor isn't going to make much of a difference.
And honestly where do you even get this? I'm with Adi here, the majority of people I have ever asked say they play on 20-27" monitors so not 32" let alone three 32" monitors.
Who are these people with 3x32" monitors?

The way most stories about mechs seem to work is that when the enemy uses it, they deal terrible terrible damage and can tank damage like the Hulk. But when an outside observer tries to use that mech, they receive a "defective" version that does only normal damage and also gets hurt and dies like normal. Perspective is a funny thing.

*Another one fails to get it.

It is called leading with lasers. It is something high players have to uniquely do to get better damage on lasers.
I would love to aim at the legs exactly but chances are it is going to be a complete miss damage wise.

Here is an another example in SLOW MO.

*Shoot outer left shoulder to get good hit on right torso.

Of couse it is alot harder with the FS zig-zagging around.

Point is lights may seem 'OP' in this but a majority of the problem is due to poor hit detection/hit registration.

I know what leading the target is.

A lot of your damage did not hit legs, it was all over the place. You can see it make contact with the floor, repeatedly.

*Again. I would love to aim for the leg exactly but it is pointless until hit reg for lasers is fixed.
Light mechs will be toast when that happens.
PGI Neema promised to fix HSR for laser this year. We will see.

Shin, your lasers are going all over the place. If you are more still with lasers you can keep it on legs without that much difficulty. If that is standard laser shooting for you then it isn't HSR's fault.
