So just waited nearly a half hour for a CW match and needless to say my entire team got screwed over in the most bullshit fireball of garbage i have ever seen.

Jfp or whatever the hell their name is sitting around playing like brats. IS went for a counter attack and as soon as we get down to the gates to start poking.

12 Mist lynx come jumping over the gate and completely destroy our first wave of mechs before anyone can even mount a defencive. What is that crap? 300 tons on the dot? For a team of 12 players thats under tonnage like hell. Then they come out with Multiple storm crows and timbers all set up with alot of large and medium lasers.

CW needs locks to provent spam of to many assults at once and to many lights at once. And maybe for good measure chassis locks too. No more then 4 of the same type of chassis

This isnt how clans are meant to play and neither is it meant to be played like that in the normals. So why the hell is it even allowed at all in CW? Im all for new stratagys, but spamming is never a stratgy; its trolling.

Im just asking for some quality of life for this mode. Hell I invested in the mode buying the clans. Why is it that i cant enjoy the thing i invested in. Just balance out the tonnages and chassis so i dont have to stare at a sea of mist lynx devouring my team unfairly

In before the flames.

Honestly, I don't think you've thought this thru. You're complaining about 12 lights decimating what I assume was a mixed 12.

Nothing to do with CW, nothing to do with the maps, nothing to do with the game mode.

You got hit by an organised 12 man of good players. Unless you were also in an organised 12 man of equally good players, you SHOULD have lost.

Only if you didn't, would there be a problem.

Thats not the problem. The problem is that the game allows them all to drop as all the same class of mech at any one time. not even normals allow that anymore. Why should CW?

12 mechs together will kill a spread out team, even if they are 12 Mist Lynxes.

Sending 12 mechs past the gate is VERY risky though, it should have cost them at least one O-gen, probably 2. Once they were past the gate you should have sent jumpjet lights and mediums over the other gates and attacked the generators.

CW attacks should be played in one of two ways. 10-12 mechs pushing together (if 10, the 2 are a diversion) or two forces simultaneously (defenders tend to destroy one and the other gets through).

As one of the Streak Boats assigned to defend from any stray lights you guys might bring, I can attest, it was only 10 MLXs.

Agreed with Shadow. you got wrecked by 10 MLX not 12.. I was on guard duty as well.

1) the IS has used said tactics against us and we have repeatedly stopped it... by being ready for it. It's not impossible to beat.

2) Just because you encounter a tactic that is new and/or hard to beat doesn't mean you need to overhaul the entire way CW works.

3) Contact your unit (if you have one) an come together to see if you can't come up with said counter.

4) Pass the tears, they are delicious.

I'm sorry, IS lights are better in every regard. If we can stop IS light rushes, you can stop ours. Instead of complaining, try thinking about a tactic to stop our pushes.

Funny, that is what most Clan players call the Mist Lynx.

Because (and this is really important, please pay attention): CW isn't Public Queue

JFP guys, don't crow. It's not big and it's not clever, have some class.

That sure is one interesting approach. I think what rattled them is that the fedrats were primarily in slower mechs and could not concentrate fire on any one mech. Talk about chasing squirrels...

Now with that said, I wished public matches were setup like that, have it revolving, all lights/meds/heavies/assaults/normal lance make up.

I only bring that up cause the matches should vary like that, depending on where the planet is at. First 2 blocks, lights, 3=med, etc...That was basically how the first MPBT was setup, a unit drop was restricted based on what status the conquest was at.

I am trying to imagine a deathball of all lights..../shudders...!!

Oh, another thread bemoaning a legitimate tactic and calling for PGI to make everything more "fair"... Seriously, I thought this game had an older and more mature player base. Join a unit pls, at least then if you get wrecked(and I have, by the same group) you can hash it out and try to come up with solutions that DON'T include eliminating player choices.

The stacked games (like the one you describe) are complete jokes.

Things may be better once we have faction grouping, VOIP and global faction chat to coordinate groups and strategies. Being able to coordinate (and communicate) strategies with faction members (not necessarily unit members) before attacking/defending would help level the playing field a little bit.

I wonder if CW will have a healthy enough player-base if many of the solo and small groups have had enough?

You're not as good as you think you are... if you lose to a bunch of Mist Lynxes.

I'd fear more of them being IS Lights like a Firestarter than I would a Mist Lynx.
