So...to summarize...

The OP is upset that the enemy didn't do what they were supposed to do (in the OP's opinion), that they took a different configuration of force from what the OP wanted them to, and that the devs need to change the game so the OP doesn't have to deal with the enemy choosing something the OP can't handle.

Sounds reasonable.

This is the offending match being discussed:

There were six MLX and a KFX in the beginning. Doesn't always work, and never this well against an organized team. But, can you hear the joy?

Lol, classic case of "Aim better" mixed with "Stop panicking."

Another reason why Tonnage locks are needed
B33f assembles a 12 man for cw all king crabs with gauss and some have lasers. It shows a match and none of them die. while the other team is completely shredded

LOL. So, first it's 12 lights that are the problem. Now it's 12 assaults? Just because what they have in common is "the other team got rolled."

Inb4 "the problem is 12 bads."

I wonder if CW will have a healthy enough player-base if many of the solo and small groups have had enough?

no it wouldn't, it doesn't now.

I have an idea, IS players organize a 12 Tbolt team so we can get Heavies added to this list and we Clanners can organize a 12 Stormcrow team for mediums, then all weight classes can be represented.

There are tonnage limits. Everyone is restricted to 240 tons for 4 mechs. That is the limit.

You did notice that this was from the very first iteration of CW...with only a single Generator...

But maybe your right. Maybe we shouldn't allow folks to be able to pick various types of mechs to play with, or do different tactics.

Wait...senses regained...nope, you are wrong sir...very very wrong.

Teamwork as always is OP.

That this guy is complaining about MLX when FS9s are the originator of this tactic makes it that much funnier.

.....supposed to be played eh?

Again.....teamwork is your problem OP, not their 360 ton loadout (so perhaps math is your other issue).

Exactly... and the Lynx doesn't have the added benefit of being able to face tank a lance of assaults (exaggeration, but only slightly ;) ) due to the totally borked hitreg that nearly all IS lights get, ESPECIALLY that damn firestarter. Hell, if someone even looks at my Lynx sideways, its right arm falls off and I have no offensive weaponry. Seriously though OP, if you guys couldn't handle a crop of slow ass (for a light) mechs, you deserve every bit of what you got, especially with all the broken ass mechs IS has. Seriously, I unloaded five rounds of LBX20 into a shut down firestarter and it powered up and ran off with about 90% of its armor still intact. Oh well, I think we clanners have figured out by now that that freebirth scum won't be happy unless they can one-shot every clan mech in the game. :o

Right, cos that's the IS players fault.

I think you missed the point. We don't create a thread about it demanding entire mechanics of CW be re-worked. We give feedback, then deal with it, work around it, find a way to beat it.

Direwhales fly now.
Wait til 12 of them jump the gates at you ;)

But really, they could have made this assault in 3/3/3/3 mix of mechs all with JJ anyway. So a restriction would change nothing.
They used their first least valuable mechs for the initial assault then brought in their real firepower.

I will tremble with anticipation... Then with furious activity. Then relief once it is over.

That isnt enough there needs to be a lock on tonnage on the field at any one time. Both for being to far over and too far under

No there doesn't.

I could be persuaded that each persons deck should be 1/1/1/1 but you're not going to convince many people that tonnage should be locked at the battlefield level.

Maybe has more to do with the fact that b33f and others from 228 are...idk...good?
