Hell the way Russ talked it sounds like they weren't even really interested in doing the urbanmech, we had to sell enough packages for them to justify making it at all. Its not like Russ and PGI was gushing and eager to get started and build the urbanmech, more just "you guys serious? alright I guess we can do that"

exactly. If they thought the Urbie was crucial it woulda shown up a heck of a long time ago.

PGI isn't going to make a ton of content for this game just because of this mech.

usually the same people who want the urbanmech to go under 80 kph. because "lore" rather than making the urbie go a decent speed, they prefer if PGI makes an entirely new map, gamemode, changing drop conditions ect ect, to make it viable, rather than just giving it a bigger engine cap.

ah but those people are the majority who moved heaven and earth to get the Urbie accomplished. Now that phase 1 is here, PGI will cave to the rest of the demands. Because their wallets say so!!!!

Russ said he'd push to get a stock-only button added to Private matches, solely because he thinks 12-vs-12 stock urbie matches would be hilarious.

That's about the only knock on effect you'll likely see, other than the existence of the Urbanmech and the STD60 to come out of this.

Ugh. I struggled with it, but I could not in the end. Too many unknowns. I know nothing about the lore, so no Urbie love there. A slow light (and I stink at lights, anyways, so that is on me). PGI still lacks a moneyback guarantee if a mech sucks that you cannot test first. And not till April? Just could not do it.

But I wish all that did buy them, luck! The hundreds I have already spent on MWO shows I 'support' the game. :-P

I already had them, bought urbs collectors regardless, so now have 2 of each, that I don't know what to do with. xD

Well on the King Crab, I took the 2nd one I just got and slapped on 6x AC/2s for funzies since Ghost Heat is turned off on them. The Centurion i can't think of a build I'd want to try. The Atlas, think I'll run it stock since I like my first build better. Too bad I can't sell off the 2nd ones, hehe.

They turned it on again, as it broke Clan arms (go figure)

My KGC I have my regular LBX10 build, the second I've done up as a Stickler Crab.

The atlas... We'll see... Are the Norns valid in San?, If so I might keep them stock.
