[Koniving]

I decided to try my luck with this.

I took some basic footage from Mechwarrior Online where I wasn't yappin', and inserted Carole Rug(...I can't spell it, I sorries!)'s MW2 voice overs into it.





Please comment there and let me know what you thought!

Liked a lot, but "All systems Nomimal" part its not from Carole, its from MW2: Mercs.

Shame, that, I just have files I downloaded off of a site. Does anyone have the MW2 only pack? And a MW2 mercenaries only pack that I could download to separate them?

Also I was finally able to find an extractor that worked for MW3. But I never owned MW4. Could someone provide me with an MW4 pack? I want to try doing videos of each.

Hmm, tricky subject. I actually like the MWO trailer / MW2 Merc voice's emphasis on the "on" from "online", which Carole would not do. Somehow it sounds a little more ... this is hard to explain, "technical"?

I am therefore going with the heretical choice of voting for the trailer voice.

You can find MW2 Carole Ruggier voice pack here but its not complete.

MW4 you can extract from Mektek MW4.

Carol yes! If you can get her to lend her considerable voice talent then hell yes. Its another very important nostalgic detail that connects MW Fans to mechs.. and the game.

it's most obvious in these two:

autoengag.wavComputer: Autopilot engaged

autodisabl.wavComputer: Autopilot disabled

It's like for the second clip, they took the "autopilot" from the first clip and cut in a completely different actress for the "disabled" part

you hear one voice in some soundclips, and the other in other soundclips, but the "autopilot disabled" is the one that makes the difference pretty obvious

I don't know which one is Carole, but I can tell you I prefer the one who says "Autopilot Engaged" that's the voice I remember fondly

I voted "YES" i would love to have her back.

But if they don't get her back, i do think that it would be cool if they could get Morgan Freeman to do the voice overs. He can make ANYTHING sound amazing. Check out this video for example:

Nothing like ***** sprinkles.

I'm sadden that drnksqrrl's video took my idea, spammed more voice files into it (despite not actually inspecting anything), and slapped an MW2 track without saying where he got the idea from. But, that aside, I took the liberty of testing an MW3 voice to the same video as the MW2 voice for comparison. Actually having discovered a sound extractor that works for MW3, I got all the sounds, and I'm splicing together radio chatter and a sort of "story" that begins before the mech inside the base powers up.

Much like it saddens me people took my August 13th streak catapult idea, made it popular near the end of september, and now they're more popular than the gauss-pults; sporting XL engines to be even faster than my own. And I'll be damned if those ****** can't jump jet worth a damn. Least people call me a gundam. <.<; Oh well, least with my latest design I can still run backwards at 95 kph while firing off LRMs with minimal heat buildup on Caustic Valley. Let's see someone catch up to me.

I had that.

I downloaded MekTek but I can't find anything about a sound file extractor. With the trouble I had in extracting MW3's files, I'd hate to imagine how hard it would be to extract MW4, especially since I have to run the game in compatibility mode. I don't suppose you could upload them somewhere? I'd even take a youtube video just playing them all back to back. Though a zip with them all would be appreciated.

Speaking of which, this is only the test video. I get the feeling someone else will suddenly have one of their own soon. But damn it I already declared it the radio chatter idea is mine! O_O! Grr! Credit people when you take their ideas. (By test video, I haven't spliced in the radio chatter yet as the limit of my program is two audio channels. I'll also be part of MW3's two music tracks, or one of MW2's.)
