I'm not really concerned with the voice they choose. MW:2 was ok, but when piloting one of the most advanced weapons systems of the day (a 'Mech) I expect the computer to be able to string two words together without unnatural pause. Being unable to do so only renders the information useless. By the time the voice strings enough words together to tell you of an incoming threat, heat issue or other important information you're already dead.

well I'm sure if your mech wasn't wearing that silly hat he wouldn't have overheated and you'd still be able to swear on your bonnet.

I think the hat is quite cunning. A 'Mech walks down the street in that hat... people know he's not afraid of anything.

Anyway.. I'd like to have multiple voice options. Just to annoy people I'd have my 'Mech use a Tachikoma voice file and sing over the external speakers.

Thanks man a true Mechwarrior Nut i am and yes the majority of this poll are with you in bringing the original voice actress cross your fingers my freind and oohhh Yes bring that music Back i still listen to full Mech 2 Soundtrack while playing MW4 and MWLL and any mech game or even looking at Battletech wiki feels right somehow

Also to everyone else nice to see the topic is still generating such positive buzz the more we show how much we want Carole to reprise her role as the Mechwarrior Computer Voice , I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of people voting and sharing my passion keep voting people you never know what might happen

Of course its not a deal breaker but a Mechwarrior Computer Voice is essential or its not a real Mechwarrior game IMO also i already bought legendary so i already made my mind up about this game its a Mechwarrior game im throwing money at it end of, but going back to original point if we are to have a Mechwarrior Reboot lets bring back the Voice Actress to make it that much special not just for us yester year dreamers but also the new generation of pilots and experience what we did back in 90's or atleast thats my belief atleast, people may not share that view but then again diversity makes us stronger. Not a deal breaker but would be epic if they do get Carole back for a second appearnce

At worst, we might have to buy her voice in the shop, but I'm okay with that and if she gets royalties, even better for her. I wouldn't mind to have even more options in that department. George Ledoux comes to mind here (Duncan Fisher - Solaris7 announcer) and Jon St. John (voice of Duke Nukem - Hail to the king baby).

as long as we're going for options, why not enlist Bruce Campbell, nothing could be more cheesy awesome than that XD

- I might also suggest having a setting that allows you to select voice sets (Different actors), that way each person can tailor it to their own preferences ~ Maybe have that be a "Pay to use" option(s)?

Carole Ruggier - an absolute must imho
William Daniels - voice of KITT from Knight Rider in the 80's or in the 90's till 2000 Mr. George Feeny on Boy Meets World
Val Kilmer - Voice of KITT in the Knight Rider failed Reboot.

Carole Ruggier & William Daniels Yes, wow Rej its like you read my mind with the most memorable voices ever although the New Knight Rider is terrible as you said fail reboot Mechwarrior Online on the other hand will not be a fail reboot it will be an awsome reboot made even more epic win if it has Carole Ruggiers voice in it

Only reason I mentioned the failed Knight Rider reboot <it had potential, but, they screwed up in the story on how FLAG was formed> because Val Kilmer's voice acting was awesome. Though to be honest, I prefer him as Ice Man in TOP GUN XD I think we MUST get Carole Ruggier as our voice actress, even if it means we fans gotta donate to the cause!

and there is just something wicked about the idea of hearing KITT as my computer voice XD William Daniels is just an awesome actor!

actually no, I dont BUT, I do get bragging rights! My city <San Antonio> was used for the movie: Knight Rider 2000! and I have been to each place used in the movie, and the funny thing, the building used as a cryo prison? its nothing more than OFFICE SPACE!

one odd thing, is we dont have the gulf coast here, for that, you can thank Corpus Christi Texas!

I'm apparently one of the few who voted 'New Voice'.

I'd love to see Jennifer Hale (Female Commander Shepard - Mass Effect), Kath Soucie (Female Smuggler voice in SWTOR), or Cat Taber (Vette in TOR, also did some of the voice work in KOTOR), or GlaDOS as the voice of our computer in MWO.
