It all comes down to dollars and cents. Carole was paid for her older work. It depends on how much she wants for MWO. If it is too much and PGI can get a decent voice elsewhere... I would rather PGI make a better game (random maps, 10-25km square, Community Warfare).

All repect to Carole though, good voice actors are worth buckets. Mako, John Huston, James Earl Jones, Linda Hunt, Lance Henriksen, Keith David, to name a few.

Thanks for this thread Alpha Assault, I was listening to Carole's voice back in 95, and her voice, tone, spacing are perfect.
So I vote YES ! for her back, damn even if it's a paying soundpack !
Also the voice of that guy doing those solaris event (forgot which MW) is remarkable, would be great to have him back.

As one of the lucky guys that spoke with Carole before and during her Facebook fan club going up I can say that she is definitely willing obviously from what she's posted but I don't know that PGI has really hit her up, or if so it's pretty hush hush. They may (I hope) just be waiting until they get all the lines ironed out and have a full list of things for her to say. Obviously the fans support this overwhelmingly so it boils down to Parahna's willingness to spend the cash to get her on board.

Typically, they would need to work with her agent and fly her in for a few hours really as it doesn't take long to record a few phrases. But they would need to make it worth her time and trouble of course. She really loves her fans but she has a life and has to make a living you know plus whatever agreement she has with her agent. I don't think she would ask for the moon in payment.

I'm just hoping that we still have a lot of time for them to contact her officially, even post launch as something you can pay for as someone mentioned. I feel that it would be pretty easy to make the money back and would do the fans a huge service

I think it'd be good idea to add something like that in game. I am playing pub (thus no voicechat) so games are a bit dull in the sound department.

The guy you mentioned was from Mw4 mercenaries, duncan fisher, former solaris champion (voiced by george ledoux). As much as i would love to hear his voice in the game it would not be historically accurate as he's probably still only in competition havent retired and started casting.

Oh and on topic I vote yes. MW2 had one of the most memorable computer voices ever in a game.

This woman who now has a name to me as well as a voice, needs to be in my earpiece, calmly telling me my mech is exploding all around me. IDC if I have to buy it as an addon. It's burned into my synapses.

I was really upset when i first saw the new teaser video. I didnt like the VO as whole, and when i heard "all systems online" i was like " WHAT THE F%$K WAS THAT???" I cried out "ALL SYSTEMS "NOMINAL""!!!! making my wife and my dog scared in process For the Mechwarrior fan who played all Battletech and Mechwarrior games starting with "Crescent Hawks Revenge", this phrase alone can ruin the whole magic of Mechwarrior and Battletech. So i voted yes without a hit of a doubt.
Even if you deside not to use the VO of this actress, please change the phrase to "nominal", becase it hurts my ears and i'm sure not only mine.
