So many piloting basic green mechs... <_< if you're not in a trial mech, why don't you at least switch the basic green to another basic color? That cost nothing except some .

Nothing wrong here, just saying... ;)
  • Chances are that you would look less like a brand new player to everyone.
  • May trick your teammates think you're exerienced with the game (placebo positive effect).

I run all my mechs with either Steiner blue/white or forest camo. Yes, even for snow as I don't get a lot of snow maps around.

Cinnabar...for esoteric reasons.

Blue for when i bounce between FRR and CGB.

I just need a red, yellow, purple to round it out.

Havent bought a new camo yet.

I use one of the darker camo greens with white accents often, playing off of how the USSR painted their armour for parades. If not that, then usually some combination of basic blue, titanium white and invasion orange.

You should consider a Star Adder based unit perhaps. You would blend right in ;)

I'd rather get DHS or a new light mech than "mildly unripe grape purple" or "Metamucil orange"

That being said, I live solely off the PC Gamer colors

Tried that color. Got shot A LOT when i had mechs painted with that one. So I tend for more subdued colors now.

If you consider the effects those two items have on enemies in addition to friends, you'll find that the result of the effects on match quality is pretty much a wash.

I always run green. I even colored my Arrow green. If all the 'Mechs of a chassis look the same at a glance, it increases the probability of enemies making judgement errors and committing to an attack on me that they won't survive...all because they thought I was that other Blackjack with the open torso.

I've seen the rise of heroes going novice-green. I think people do it to avoid notice ... to trick your enemies into thinking you are not a threat.

Me personally? Every mech gets coloured before its first run.

Kurita loyalist, so lots of black, red, and white. Actually looking forward to the resistance pack colors- going to choose all factions for some new paints.

The christmas lights got really nerfed on the Spider, you can barely even tell you have them equipped.

people paint their hero mechs default green, because that is the only "working" camo here... "oh look a newb, better shoot that dangerously looking mech there first!"

and as for colorful (and because I just found it again):

Well simply because i cant see it. I think thats what 3pv should have been designed around but it wasn't.... new players need to see the lower torso only you cant.
