How Cw Become A Horrible Experience For Players

Stalker 4N is scarier to me on the battlefield, on boreal, woof, 6 ER large lasers with cooldown and range mods, Yeah he was at the alpha gate, I was BEHIND omega, back to the wall, and he stripped 25 percent of my armor with 3 shots of dual ERLL in my hunchback.
now THATS scary.
Thunderbolts are like mini awesomes, with better hitboxes and speed. Their heat efficiency needs to be looked at but from my experience they are fine, I mean if you can hit something at 1200 m with 3 ERPPC you deserve that shot.
Gauss should be bumped up to like 700m optimum though. that would be nice.

So I think for me, I'll just avoid CW and the attendant frustration and stick to the regular 12-12 matches. If they make it somethng better, then fine, but right now, don't care for it one bit.

If I look at the opposing side and it is clear that some or all are in the same group (clan tags) we always lose.
I have had a few close matches against poor clan groups or clan battles with several smaller groups (2x3 or so).
In general the good groups are farming the pugs - they aggressively attack with coordination and speed and then camp the spawns.
Generally not an enjoyable experience. I don't think this is related to a paticular mech or build - just groups vs. pugs which is always a tough balance.

I understand there are dedicated player groups out there. However think about this game from a new-player's point of view with a seemingly vertical learning curve. If i didn't start playing this game from Beta I probably wouldnt give it much at this point in time.
would this idea be up your street? its my idea, doing as you suggest, i thought about the new player perspective, which is still fairly true of me lol

It was fun at the beginning, matches seemed to vary, there were some different scenarios of how the battle could go.
Every game the scenario for 12 mans against randoms makes it unplayable. On the "cold" map any random team attacking is just sniped from a distance and killed by organized push, up to the point of spawn killing. Really? Is this the way you want to almost every match to be played out in 12-man against random scenario? This was to be intended CW experience for casual CW players? You're on a best way to even more shrink the player base for CW.
Either PGI does something with it (splitting queues for teams and pugs/rebalances decks) or I'll just simply resign from ANY CW activity. It will slowly but surely make CW a mode for 12 man try-hards with meta-builds.
first off had many games of CW. I am IS, dropped against other IS drop. the game can go either way.
I agree that needs to be balance with CW as one clan mech is one and half times better than a IS mech. The standard Clan drops is dire wolf, timberwolf, storm crows, and mad dogs with ERPPC, ERLL, Guass, and 3000 rounds of LRMS, bactives.
to make it balance it should be 12 IS mechs vs 10 Clan mechs.
But knowing that most of PCI are playing clan mechs, then that would be a pile dream.
To the 9s. the three ERPPC build. clan ERPPC range is better than the IS, the heat of the IS ERPPC is higher than the clan ones.
So over heating one of those, even on a cold map is easy.
Back to balancing the CW, lets see 12 Clan mechs times 4 times 1.5 = 72 IS Mechs vs 48 IS mechs

can't keep hiding behind that.
2 near identical maps. 1 mission. Until the game has doszens of maps and many scenarios, the game will be boring quite quickly. But you are correct. It will not be Beta forever. Not all of us hide from teh truth Bacon.

I guess I was hoping for more persistant battles (gameplay/feel) to it, then just fighting endless matchers to turn a meter to different colors. Honestly to me cw just feels like a different game mode (as it is currently) with the same match by match type of game play we currently have in the group queues.
Not sure if this was engine limitations, or just give the ppl what they want (get her done type of thing) asap.
I'm not even sure how I thought it was going to be like either. I guess was hoping that the planets would act like large nodes of a conquest map (for controlling faction zones) then on the planets there would be mini nodes to fight over to decide who is winning/owning the planet. But it all happens in ONE BIG NEVER ENDING MATCH! It never ends! No match by match by match style game play. A large open persistant map, that anyone can join as long as your factions are contesting it. Groups and solo players can just dropin and mech smash. Would be good like this and make use of mech repair/rearm stations (perhaps these nodes could be those spots. You get your 4 mech drop deck but when you die you die. Back to the briefing room, and prepare your strats. I guess in a way that would be considered a match by match type of gameplay? But it would feel more persistant and there would be no wait times period. If no one is there then well.. you get to run around and turn the nodes to your favor, and wait if you choose for enemies to drop in in a dropship. Overwhelmed? simply retreat and head to the next planet to bolster defences. I just wanted to see more persistance/ open world type of play like you see in planetside, and other openworld mmo's
Anyways Keep up the good work pgi, wasnt what I thought it was gonna be but thx for doing it nonetheless!

It doesn't suck for what it is: a grand scale version of the public queues. Most got what they thought they wanted... then learned that wasn't what they really wanted.

As people warned PGI.
And people made dozens of sensible proposals to avoid it becoming a respawn public queue.
With a first hype and quick petering out to ghost queue/drops. With only the hardcore fans caring about the colours on the map. And even them loosing interest.
Meh. Forseeable sucking tastes ashen.

You could click on the Faction tab and see where everyone is at. That seems to be the faster way to get a drop. Find a planet with around a dozen(s) of players. drops last 30 minutes so depending on how far into the game the match is... 30+ minutes is not unlikely.

PGI hasn't been up and up with us ...basically ever.
Well, if you and your ilk believe PGI is always lying and you will never ever get the game you want, then why the **** are you all still here?
Are you all just still hanging around to ruin the game for everyone else who still enjoys playing, no matter how limited it may be right now? Are you all just hanging around to watch everything burn down into the ground?
Because if so, I have only one word to describe it: pathetic.

Absolutely nothing. Past history is already proof of that. They were already (and still are) whining about big sharks (i.e. experienced solo players) eating them as snacks.
