Problem is, you need your teammates to get kills in order to earn those assists...hmmm...

I had the points for kills/assists reversed. So we need to ignore the tourney and go for wins. Let the rest take care of itself.

Now, feedback.
Please don't use the phrase "Team Damage". It's ambiguous.
"Team Damage" means to many people "The amount of damage your team did."
Which is incorrect, but it's not obvious, so don't use the phrase.
...
And now, once again, we're penalising players for getting kills.
7 kills, 1 assist, 570 damage = no credit.
(70) + (20) + (570/15) = 128 points.
Kills and assists should be equal value.
Solo kills? Sure, maybe that could be worth more. Kill Most Damage Dealt? Sure, that SHOULD be worth at least an extra 5 points. But plain old kills and assists needs to be equal value, always, or else your playerbase is going to QQ about this on every bloody challenge you post.

I can not fathom the reason why you make assists worth more than kills. It only encourages unsportsmanlike gameplay.

In any way - great event.
I rather they give equal points. More to kills will encourage selfish/reckless charging to get the kills, more to assist will encourage others to not commit (after all they're after the assist, not kills...but how to you get assists if teammates can't get kills?). I've heard of ppl taking 1-2 shots and run off thinking they will get the assists, but the opposition is not down yet.

But what really is giving me hope is that your finding ways to give non paying costumers MC, and a decent amount of it. Marketing and design wise, that is brilliant. It allows the free users to use the MC and will most likely convert them in to paying costumers, But it also gives the guy's who play a goal, something that has been sorly lacking (Kill all enemys gets old fast) Please keep up the good work, and get some more CW maps and perhaps the good reward system you where talking about. Good job.

Because the last event they did that and people where team kill, boxing out to get their kill. It was promoting really bad teamwork. If assists are worth more, then you would rather give up the kill to someone else. Still, a kill where you do the majority of the damage is about worth an assist if you factor in damage. What it doesn't reward is the jenner swooping in front of the direwolf to pick up the kill that the direwolf did 90% of the damage to.

1. you can still get reward even if your team loses;
2. if your team is losing there is still reason to fight as best you can to the end to up your score;
3. folks aren't complaining about searching out the last mech to kill; and lastly
4. I am not seeing the folks shooting off there weapons at the beginning, presumably because they don't want to be penalized for team damage.
ALL GOOD. Well thought out PGI

It's pathetic how many there are and how many times you end up as the only one on the front line while half the team is sitting behind you lurming away.
There is hardly any good matches right now when half your team dies to lrms cause they dont know how to use cover/are lrm boats themselves.
If you notice this then understand the flaw that lrm boats have and take advantage of it in every way that you can.

I've missed out on a bunch of points simply because I scored kills that won the battle, instead of going for assists.
As an example of how badly thought out this event is, look at this battle I just fought:
This battle was likely to be a loss, with me up against 5 enemy mechs solo, but I managed to take them all out and win the battle for the team.
Lets work out my points:
5 x 10 = 50
2 x 20 = 40
568 / 15 = 37.87
Total = 50 + 40 + 37.87 = 127.87
So I just barely missed out, despite a huge effort, and saving the team from a certain loss.
But then the two King Crab players that failed to score kills, while managing less than 400 damage each, got a point in the event, simply because they made a bunch of assists!
They did next to nothing for their team, but still got rewarded by this event.
A good event is one that rewards players for playing for their team, and this event isn't doing that.

No, seriously.
You'll easily get 130 scores given any level of competency and if you avoid playing IS PUG vs. Clans, you'll even have fun and not be used as farm fodder doing it! That's what happens when you get 4 Mechs to earn that 130 vs. 1.
