I hope that you stay in the first person mode while your mech falls over dead or explodes, i dont like the whole showing you die in third person thing it takes away from the realism a little bit you know? Also when you die do you spectate? like one person and cycle through or do you have a free flying camera?

Yes, I'm pretty sure it has been confirmed that you only get to spectate through team mates 1st person view. That's OK though since you can just esc out and hop into another one of your 'mechs to go leroy in another game.

Well that depends...

If you have been a good mechwarrior, you go to Heaven
If not, you go to hell.

Next question please !

I do kinda like OPs suggestion of the camera view staying in your 'Mech as you watch your cockpit explode around you. Or perhaps you get ejected from the 'Mech in first person and watch it burn as you drift back to ground.

It could be an option or something, maybe.

I think we can all agree that half the fun of this game is dying (watching your mech get blown apart and walking around with one arm left and a limp fighting down to the last breath)

What if a player becomes an aerial drone that watches the battlefield from above but cannot interact with the rest of the team?

That would be fantastic! Maybe a few "mayday/S.O.S." calls while you're going down

Doesn't mean it should be happening here.

Do we have confirmation of this? I surely hope not... I hope to see something like 30 minute abandon game timers or similar

Will the dead be able to speak to the living, as is the case in WoT? Or will they only be able to speak to other dead like in CSS?

Hopefully it's the latter, as the former is the cause of much trolling/crying/griefing...

II think it's time for a roleplaying/larp/sca quote "Shut up your dead"... lol though seriously no communications bwtween dead people and anyone else even other dead people. Info could still be used to cause problems. "my budy is dead were on comms and your feeding us info about your team locations.
