Heaven and Hell fights for your soul ;)

Then you click ESC, exit battle.
You are back in the Mechlab, select a new Mech not in combat, and go again flipping a coin for living or dieing.

Do we have confirmation of this? I surely hope not... I hope to see something like 30 minute abandon game timers or similar

I would just reallocate their XP and cash rewards to their lancemates that are still logged in at the end of the match - if they can't be bothered to stay logged in for just a few minutes (unless they're so useless or unlucky that you got killed in the first few) then they shouldn't get their reward for the match. Watching team-mates, even if you don't know them, can be fun and informative. Not least, just how close WERE you to killing that damned ***** ;)

If nothing else, go make yourself a brew if you die a few minutes away can only help to calm you down and prepare you for the next match.

You can't stop it - even with in-game comms, you run the risk of them already using teamspeak, vent or mumble (or similar) to keep in touch.

We know its a switch to your team mates view from the footage out there and thats good as lets be honest most of us will be sitting on third party comms (think every faction is now set up with a third party voice system) so anything more is giving too much away. One of the reasons in WoT our platoon always did at least decently is as we died we fed intel to the survivors. Those extra eyes and ability to track/anticipate the enemy really helped even from a restricted viewpoint and made you feel far more like a team than individuals. Of course the peer review could be humiliating too. ;)

You should be able to speak to the other dead members...even on the other team. Otherwise, it's just borring...

I want a Schrodinger's mech where you cannot prove I died until you pop open the cockpit.

I'm not the kind of guy who likes to watch. Well I don't complain too much when my girlfriend has one of her friends running around the house naked and on web cam. But watching is not being involved hands on is? No its not.

I don't like playing games and watching. It's just not hands on. Actually we'll be able to let go of our keyboard and mouse. That will be very new to me. That is going to be strange.

You really think they're just going to leave you looking at a ground once dead while your allies fight off screen? Use some common sense. Naturally they will have dead players become spectators for the rest of the match. The question is how will it be done? Will it be first person spectator, third person, or total free range, or from fixed selectable camera positions from over the map. I hope they give us a third person view spectator on remaining allies so we can look at the Mech in addition to seeing the fight.

When my mech goes down I hope it shows me pressing the eject button, followed by me shooting up then switching to the 1st person view of a team mate.

The devs already said to avoid giving any advantages their will be no free camra or 3rd person, and that most likely they will just put you in the 1st person view of one of your team mates.

Though if you can change from team mate to team mate idk.

I want to get to the next battle.

What is this crap?

I want to just move onto the mech lab. I got blown up so why the hell not? Then I can queue for another match. Keep the play constant. All this watching stuff is a bad indication that every match will be short OR some of us will be the first ones out and sitting there for a long time before we get to play again.

Most F2P players will be grinding C-Bills without premium bonuses so if you lock them, or remove their earnings, after their mechs get destroyed you will be alienating those players.

And less players, even those who don't spend a single $ of real world currency, is very bad for business.

I hope that the dead stay silent. I do not want to hear dead people.

Specially coming from WoT, many times the dead will just spam chat with insults.

One of the reasons I left the game.

Let's hope the Ignore feature works better in MWO that it did in WoT.

So no different then if you're a Religious Mechwarrior then.

Depending on whether you've been a good or bad mechwarrior, your spirit ascends to heaven or the devils drag you underground. In any event your mech is destroyed and your account is closed :)
