So it's been a couple years yet your game continues to have major performance issues. Certainly with growth it's expected but your code is garbage. When I go from a 90 ping to 500 in a manner of a couple drops you would say it's an ISP issue. No so at 300 mb a second and a 20 mb upload. You continue to have memory leaks and or your infrastructure is garbage. You want more money from us fix the basics already. Pissed off customer

maybe it is, maybe it isnt,
but 300MB/sec doesn't matter. how far are you from the servers?

Latency spikes like that would be attributed to network issues and not a "broken" game.

And if it were on their end, then we'd all be experiencing it. My connection has been fantastic other than being dropped from games abruptly once every 4 or 5 days. Very rare, so I don't even care.

My ping is at a consistent ~100. Annoying, but consistent so I do not think it is PGI's fault. Just is what it is for my ISP.

You fail at understanding basic network concepts.

Bandwidth is how much data you can push/receive in a period of time. Latency (or Lag as commonly referred) is how long it takes data to get somewhere.

Do you understand how these two things are completely different and unrelated?

If you're having latency spikes and just about everybody else isn't, I'm sorry... it's you. Or your ISP.

The game has performance issues, but most of the time latency problems are not on their side. It's been known to happen, but when that happens it's easily noticeable and promptly corrected.

Yep i've always had a stable ping of between 118 and 121 depending on time of day from the UK which is reasonable to me. Not having any issues with spiking etc.

Distance and response times matter more than throughput in most cases. If you're anywhere other than in North America, all the bandwidth in the world won't help you.

I get anywhere between a 60-70 ping, it's an issue on your end, not theirs

Ui 2.0 was a down grade, the graphics look worse, hit registration is still a mess, flamers are garbage, match making is a joke, brawling mechs still go to alpine peaks etc.... :)

I live in Australia, and while my ping is considered high, it doesn't fluctuate much at all. Very little jitter, very few spikes.

I daresay that your ping issues are your own - either an issue with your equipment or your ISP.

I'm going to put my money on 200+ ping. That seems to be the average for Australians.

No issues here. Just basic DSL, but I use the Google 8.8.8.8 address instead of my ISP's default which goes through Go-Daddy which has some issues.

Used to be 240-250, now varies between 220-230 after the data center change.

This thread seems like a "whatever issue ---> Thanks Obama PGI".

I would like to know by which mysterious ways of thought the OP blames PGi for his crappy connection.....
