No that's ONE TIME camo that is a *Permanent Camo*

Permanent camo applies to chassis, For example all of your catapults. One shot applies to a specific Mech only.

PGI is not manipulating anything, I know exactly what I am buying every time I buy it. You NEED to make sure you understand before spending money as well.

Permanent camo is per mech type chasis not all chasis.... All your cats should be able to use that camo if you purchase unlockable... One time, only one cat can use it and if you sell that cat you lose the camo... camo unlocks on the Cat can not be used on Hunchies, Locusts, Cicadas, etc....

thats super weird then, it unlocked for all chassis i owned that time. even work on the clan mechs that came much later.
unfortunate i can't screenshot them sold them all, only own Primes.

a Mech i got few months later.

(King crab from Shop can't be Camo????.)

I was suppose to get special Camo's with the resistance pack, not seen any

1.) Camo is uber-expensive and unlocks on the ONE chassis. You can't equip it on any other. Clearly you bought Woodland camo for Catapults. That's all you will get it on. This is a point I didn't understand until recently as well, so I understand the frustration.

2.) The King Crab reward mech is basically a hero. You can only change colors on it.

3.) The special camos aren't delivered yet. Read the FAQ please. Link

Which camo? The polygon camo? If so then you got that one for pre-ordering clan mechs.

Primes...huh?, The Camo pattern on Clan "Primes" is locked, as in cannot be changed. You definitely have something buggy going on, or aren't being totally clear with us.
Was going to say, being honest with us, but, I don't know you, you don't know me, and really don't want to go down that road.
Basically, Clan Primes are like IS Heroes, in a sense that there "stock" out of he box paint patterns cannot be changed only their colors.
There was no hijinks or hocus pocus with any of their packs...except maybe with the phoenix pack, aka where are our loyalty points? But post phoenix, PGI has been very clear and concise with what you get in every pack.
So we are left to assume, and I know assuming can be bad, but as it is we are left to assume any and all problems here in this particular situation... are due to ignorance on the consumers part.
Not trying to, but I know is making me come off ... Dickish, but that is just the way it is. Would recommend being very concise and clear with Customer Service when you write to them about this "anomaly", and with us in all your future posts.

Otherwise you come out of it looking as if you always run into a room outta breath and the first words outta you mouth are "I went to Walmart and bought a pair of blue jeans, I'm wearing those jeans, they told me they were jeans, but now I want brown corduroys, why didn't I get my corduroys when I got my jeans? Walmart BAD, they robbed me"!!!

just sayin'

after resistance patch 2 i feel really being stolen of my money.

first the King Crab (one mech) second i not receive any of those promised items after release.
it really make me think 10 times before spending money on this again.
a painful lesson that game company's can't be trusted.
(they also rip me of bought textures)

Send an email or submit a support ticket. I received a response rather quickly about a missing module and they just went ahead and added CBills to it so I could repurchase the module (probably a lot easier to inject CBills than a module from a coding standpoint for support's access).

You also seem to be resisting trying to understand what you misunderstood.

One Shot - Applies to the selected mech ONE TIME, will be lost if the Camo/Color is changed.

Permament
Colors - Unlocked for use on every mech you own.
Camos - Unlocked for all variants of the current mech you have selected (i.e. All Catapults, or all Jenners, not every mech chassis.)

I know somewhere around here there's a link that says exactly what I stated though possibly worded differently. Its really not that hard.

If you don't read all the T&Cs before purchase, that's on you.

Because you obviously have no idea how it works, I present you with my Handy Dandy Paint+Camo Guide.

View PostOvion, on 27 September 2014 - 04:54 AM, said:

You may or may not know this, but not everyone does so I'll go through it (and is something I've been meaning to do for a while, then I'll save this post for future explanations)
Ok, so this is how Camo and Colours work:

Camo Patterns comes in 2 flavours - Unlock and One-Shot.
Unlocks are a permament unlock for that Chasis. You can change the pattern as often as you like.
They are pricey though, running you either 750 MC for a 'standard' pattern and 1250 MC for a 'premium' pattern.

One-Shot camos are one-use patterns. You can change the Colours as often as you like, but if you change the pattern, you lose the One-Shot.
They're great if you don't intend to change the pattern around.
The bonus of this is they cost 1/10th that of an Unlock, at 75MC a 'standard' pattern and 125MC a 'premium' pattern.

So if you only want to do 3 mechs, and leave them at that single pattern forever, then One-Shots are the way to go for you!
You can even have 3 different patterns if you want.

There have been Camo sales in the past (normally 50% off), so you could always wait for one of those, but I generally recommend one-shots.
If it's on sale and there's 2 Camo's you'll regularly want on one chasis (or 5+ mechs you want it on), then go unlock.
Example -
I have bought One-Shot Camo Specs for each of my 3 Spiders, 3 Catapults, and one Cicada (Phranken), 1 for my 4th (Urbie)Spider (Sherman), and 1 for my Dire Wolf B (Snowfall).
That's 9 mechs with Camo, for less than the cost of 1 unlock.
I'm considering buying one-shots for a couple more of my mechs, like my Jaegers, new Cicada and Ravens.
I don't really want to change any of these, mostly because the others are sort of pants on those mechs (in my opinion) so it works out MASSIVELY cheaper.

I've also bought the Phranken Unlock for my locusts when it was on sale, as I have 5 of them and at that point it cost the same as getting the One-Shots.
I also want Hotrod and standard on my locusts at a whim, so this works out better.
I'm just waiting for Hotrod to be on sale on Locusts, then I'll buy the unlock.

Colours come in 3 flavours - Basic, Standard and Premium.
All colours are a universale unlock - purchase once, and that colour is permamantly available for all your mechs.
Basic Colours are the 5 free colours in the game.
You get Basic Green by default, and the remaining 4 are available for 1.25million C-Bills each.
They're actually not bad, I think the Red is nicer than most of the Premium Reds too.
Especially good as a Block colour, or highlight.
As modeled by the lovely Locust below:
Spoiler

Standard Colours are generally, just a straight shade really.
These cost 500MC and come in a wide range.

Premimum Colours are either more desirable (i.e. - pure black and white), or specifically linked to particular Premium Camos (i.e. - the colours that are 'meant' to go with the scheme).
These cost 1000MC and come in a wide range of slightly nicer shades.

Ultimately, I recommend never buying any colours apart from Basic, unless it's 50% off.
Additionally, Camo shades are a fantastic range of matte Standard colours, so 250MC on sale.
I've got 1/3 to half of the Camo colours and tend to buy more each time they go on sale.

Also, to aid you, my guide to variants:

Quote

Heroes are unique variants of mechs that have a special locked Camo Spec.
These mechs have a 30% bonus to C-Bill generation.
They are found in the Hero section of the Mechlab, with a H on the 'card' in the inventory.

Unique Geometry Mechs are mini-Heroes. They have special models and a special locked Camo Spec, but are otherwise the same as their base variant.
These are the Founder, Phoenix, Invasion, Gold, Loyalty and Resistance variants so far.
Their names include (F), (P), (I), (G), (L) and ® respectively.
These mechs have a 30% bonus to C-Bill generation.
They are found in the Champion section of the Mechlab, with a C on the 'card' in the inventory.

Champions are standard variants that come pre-upgraded.
They often have a semi-optimised loadout, with all practical upgrades already in place (ES, FF, DHS, etc, if commonly needed, generally useful weapons)
These mechs have a 30% bonus to XP and GXP generation.
They are found in the Champion section of the Mechlab, with a C on the 'card' in the inventory.

Champions are good for the lazy, providing a near-ready-to-go mech, that will level and provide GXP faster.
They're worth it in half-price sales imo, as they provide good gear on the cheap.
Especially the Jenner which comes with an XL300 for peanuts on sale.

I see no evidence that PGI has a perfidious nature (and we are talking about PGI here - not another company, with another CEO. ) I also experienced having something go wrong with a "failure to deliver" type error just recently, yet when I mentioned it, PGI fixed it, even though it was so minor in nature, hardly worthy of notice.

As a person who used to operate on the other side of the business line, I know how incredibly hard it can be to consistantly deliver any reliable service, when just the act of communicating with hundreds, never mind thousands of customers, is a major undertaking in itself. How many phone calls can you answer in one day? How many emails can you write? There are limits to what can be done, and when.

I am not saying we should not have high expectations for PGI performance, as they are asking for our money and are duty bound to deliver; but what I am saying is that if everything around here was working flawlessly, then that would indeed be a surprise.

As I understand it, there does exist a formal routine for addressing the various errors in the "system." If you informed PGI of the problem, and they then refused to address it, then you would have just grounds to be angry. Before that, having expectations that everything is going to be running smoothly, all of the time, is simply not based in reality. No company in the world can do that, because none of us is perfect.

TLDR: sht happens...

The King Crab was well known to be a single variant, just as with previous reward mechs. They are different than pre-order mechs.

If you're not getting content, you should contact support. I've gotten the rewards, including the warhorn and modules.

https://mwomercs.com/resistance
http://mwomercs.com/...resistance-faq/

Everything should be received by March 17th.

It's a bit pricey yes, but each one requires quite a bit of work.

Each camo needs redesigning to fit each mech, it's not a 'one size fits all'.
That requires man hours.

Say each premium camo (1250MC) takes a day per mech chasis.
Maybe half a day.
To concept, design, then do the template digitally, then adapt it to each mech, including extras for different geometry (weapons locations, alternate hardpoints or gear, etc - think Cata C4 vs Cata K2).
For each new Camo Spec, that's 49 mechs you need to apply it to.
For every new mech, that's 22+ Camos that need adapting. (With Faction Camo, it's going to be around 28+)

So for a new Camo Spec currently, that's 25-50 days of work.
For a new Mech that's 10-30 days of work.
Now with 2-3 guys working on it, that's going to be 1-2 weeks realisticly.

Who you have to pay, and aren't doing something else.
There's also the continous overheads of computers, office space and processor time.

So to make that one camo spec unlock, for that one mech chasis, they'll need to sell at least 20 per mech (so 980 unlocks per camo) or 10,000 One-Shots just to break even.
And as a business the name of the game is profit, so that they can keep being in business and keep making profit.

Yes, it's not that cheap, but it's not that expensive, for an item you do not have to buy.
It's also understandable why they price it the way they do.

I'd personally like to see an option that is an all mech unlock, that's say, half price of buying seperately it for each mech.
(Currently 36,750MC for Basic and 61,250MC for Premium)
Added bonus of you'd get it on each future mech free, so it'd have the early-bird aspect too.
I might not ever buy it, but it'd be nice to see the option in the store.

Much can be said of PGI, both good and bad... but their support team members are excellent. I have had a couple of issues in the past. On both counts they have been prompt, informative and professional.

Double check before hammering them on the forums. Talk to them first.

it is called the internet ... I suggest using google and words like "mwo" and "camo" maybe even "resistance" and "faq". However, it is probably easier to blame everyone else and complain about it. Guess that is why everyone doesnt seem to be very sympathetic.
