This shouldn't have happened.... what have you done to cut framerate in half? having a 3 gig video card on my end, this shouldn't be possible. 30 FPS is harder to play in than a smooth 60 FPS....

frame rates are as same as CW - there has been a 50% drop in framerates since previous patch.

Game lobby was 60 FPS before this patch. FPS are now at 30.
I used to have 60 FPS on non CW maps and 40-50 on CW maps. both are now 30 FPS.

This game should be playable on ANY high end video card + CPU combo and yet with a core i5 and a radeon 7950HD - i don't wanna have to upgrade again after building this comp 2 years ago >.<

My frames tripled on most maps, doubled on everything else. I am extremely happy.

On Frozen City I now have about 40% of my previous FPS with identical settings. (about 20-25 instead of 60-70.) What happened? I was so happy about my Xeon CPU because I could play MWO very smoothly compared to my old Core2Duo. Now my FPS are nearly as low as they were with my Core2Duo.

On top of that, I have a terrible delay between input (e.g. mouse movement) and output (rendered image) both in my mechlab and ingame.

I will test other maps tomorrow. But it certainly won't be fun.

Strange, this patch pretty much fixed my framerate issues in CW thus far. I need to do more testing. What are the details of the framerate fix they did?

I'd also be interested in hearing a few technical details.

As for the very different patch effects: Maybe the changes affect different DirectX versions differently?

It was a HUD coding change. They took the very complicated hud coding and simplified it to decrease cpu strain.

Yeah I'm getting really good FPS.

Getting alot better high average than I was before.

Staying steady right around 90+
very rarely drops below 70, and thats when chaos is unleashed.

Pretty nice if you ask me.

would be more usefull if you could post your rigs too
maybe the game is underperforming on AMD now?
maybe HT s broken for it
maybe more than 3GB of Sysram are allocated

post your systems please :)

2500k slight overclock, 7870oc, low settings, 1920x1200, v-sync

went from 25-45 fps to 38-60

the improvements are bigger though because at 38-60 I am at medium texture and medium objects now.

I got a very significant improvement in framerate on my low end PC. If it is just an HUD optimization I find hard to believe that THIS patch could have made things worse for some.

This is PGI.....never assume.

I think those with issues should run repair tools, clear caches etc and try again.

I have a fantastic fps improvement!
I wonder how this is possible: from 21 average to 35!!!!

I mean: 66% more!

PGI, THANKS A LOT!

edit: seriously: I'm just curious to know how they did it.
Only about the hud????

In Game FPS - Still about 30FPS in combat, but now maxes out to 70+ when at the start of the match.
Mechlab FPS - Halved from 60 to 30FPS.
