Please forgive me if this is a stupid question. I bought the Wrath Pack on 11/27/2014 and have the Cent and Crab. Do i still get the Atlas?

I guess I feel a little let down that this "loyalty" mech was supposed to be a special present to those of us who have supported last year under the pretense it would be the only chance to get them.

Oh well.......if this is the case with these mechs, shouldn't the phoenix pack be re-released?

I got the reward mechs originally and most likely again as I bought the urbie pack. Saying thanks for that and if there is an option to change them to something else will take that as I don't really need the two copies of mechs.
Doesn't matter what you spent, rewards and free stuff as giveaways should always be a thank you and leave it at that. Don't complain because they gave you free stuff. Do you bite the hand that feeds you ????

Free stuff is nice but free stuff that is advertised as special reward for supporting something and than giving the same stuff out once again for something else isn't the best way. Shouldn't be so hard to just design one or two new mechs and everything would be fine.
Overall it is of course a good thing but i can understand everybody who is disappointed by the way it was done.

I just stripped them and used the engines for other Mechs of mine, weapons and equipment was kept or sold depending. I guess eventually I could always reequip them and paint them differently depending on my mood... light or dark, happy or angry, broke or just paid

Your reward, was, as always, early access. This game is built on early access, as it really is the only thing they sell. Pay cash for early access to things and MC for accelerated accumulation of things. Get more free stuff if you buy more, and more if you buy earlier.

In the end, you aren't buying exclusivity, even if that's what you are really looking for.

This is a little absurd. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't mind other people getting the mechs, and I don't mind getting free stuff here. But... what?
There's nothing that I can do with these a second time, and honestly I'm just trying to understand. My garage is already a bit of a mess... I love having mechs that make a bit of extra cash. But there's no way that I can honestly put these to use. Except maybe the two Centurions.

Unless I wanna... maybe set myself up with two locusts, I could bring two king crabs, or two atlas's, or a mix into a community warfare match. But that wouldn't do me any good. I also can't get rid of these for something I'ld rather trade for. I can sell their loadouts. But I can't get rid of the mechs themselves. I would much rather sell them and get the 3 Mechbays, and the money equivalent of them. ...I just, what am I going to do with all this? I feel like I'm 8 years old again and I have toys all over my floor. With respect, I like the idea, I just.. don't know what the point of getting a second set is.

Oh, Stoned Prophet, I absolutely understand what your point is. You paid more money and feel that as such you deserve more of the free stuff. You've been with the game longer, and as such you deserve more of the free stuff. You are offended that those that have paid less are getting the same amount of free stuff. You are offended that those that haven't been with the game as long are getting the same amount of free stuff.

Your point is quite simple. I understand you point, and your right to have it. I just disagree with it. I find it pretentious and snobbish.

I like the allegory that you and several others have tried, comparing it to employment where someone else pays you for your work. except this isn't. It's an internet game, that allows it customers to play for free, or buy as much additional content as they wish. You have chosen to pay more. outstanding. I am truly glad that life has been kind enough to you to allow for that. I pay money for this game because I enjoy it, not for recognition and reward. I am not offended when those who pay less get the same treats.

You mentioned communism in a post above. But what you would have them create is a aristocracy in the game. Only those privileged enough to be here at the beginning, and fortunate enough to be able to afford all the extras, are entitled to receive the rewards that the developers generously chose to bestow.

Meh. Maybe my problem is that I just have more empathy for the unwashed masses than the games elites.

Although I understand why people feel a bit slighted, I think there are far bigger issues with this game than getting your knickers in a twist over free stuff so I will leave it at this.

You got those mechs for buying a Top Tier Package right? Well so are these people. I seriously doubt there is a huge population buying the subpar Urbanmech that also havent bought another package. They have most likely also bought the Wrath, other Clan packs, or pheonix in 2013.

You say that people shouldn't get what you got because they didnt pay what you paid? Look in your mech garage. I bet there are a bunch of mechs there that you bought that were in the packages that you bought. Darn, looks like I discovered that you did in fact get something they didn't. All those mechs you bought that they didn't. Seems they didn't get what you got after all.

It's not like PGI is putting these peoples names in the credits and not yours. They are getting 3 mechs because they also supported this game. Maybe they didn't do it in the timely manner like you did, but their money is just as good as yours. Even if it comes a month or so later.

Thanks, i got a king crab out of the deal, but i don't care to have 2 of the same atlas and centurion. I'd rather have the MC or C-bill value of the mechs.

The Founders (generally speaking) spent money on this game before it was even a game to play. Here's the thing. Some of us are Founders in spirit, but through the whims of fortune, had to miss the deadlines for Founders packs. If you look at my registration date, you'll see I've been here since virtually the beginning, but as it happened, had just quit my job of 16 years, to move my wife and 3 kids to California, to care for my Grandmother, right BEFORE Founders packs became available.

By the time I found a new job, Founders packs were no longer available.

Since then, I have purchased the top tier of every available pack (except the Gold Khan, no way I was getting that one past my wife ), and early enough to get every single early bird bonus except for the month one reward on the Phoenix Overlord pack. And you bet your last banana I'd buy a top tier Founders pack if they made them available again, since the ONLY reason I didn't when they were available was that I just didn't have that kind of money.

My point is, how do we know that many of these folks who missed the "Loyalty" rewards aren't in a similar position? Is "not being broke" the only measure of "Loyalty" PGI should consider?

I know if they made Phoenix packs available to newcomers, I'd care not a single iota, since I fail to see how it affects my enjoyment of my own content.

Just some food for thought.

I have made several post to this topic already regarding this matter and i have even read all of the other posts too.
Now i'm not going to discuss the rights and wrongs of the anniversary reward or discuss whether or not the people who feel (insert appropriate) are also right or wrong to feel the way they do.
However i do feel that there is an Elephant in the room and that Elephant is that the decision to do this HAS pissed off a lot of people and a lot of people ARE pissed off by this decision (rightly or wrongly is irrelevant).
As many people have already pointed out this game is "free to play", but it relies on people willing to spend money,
This decision has annoyed many of the very people it relies on (again rightly or wrongly is irrelevant) and for this reason alone i fail to see how that can be good for ANYONE.
I am not a business man but i cant imagine that making a decision that upsets your paying customers for whatever reason is at any time a good idea.

So I got the Wraith pack on Dec. 9th 2014 does that mean that I don't get the Atlas-AS7-S(L). That is the only one I don't have. I got the pack on the 9th to get the King Crab. That would suck if I was 1 week away and it doesn't count.

I am a businessman, and my response to that would be, no matter what you do, at least some customers are going to get pissed off, it's the reality of business.

What you aim for, is to make the largest number of people, who are the most likely to spend money, as happy as possible.

Some people tend to assume that more paying customers are pissed off by the loss of exclusivity from something like this, than are happy at the gain of new rewards, but the reverse is generally true. And as a business model, this makes tons of sense.

How many of the "pissed off" previous customers are going to quit, or quit spending money, over this (my estimate = very few ), as opposed to how many new customers were just enticed into spending money they might not have (my guess = many). And the truth is, more people spending more money on this game is, at the end of the day, good for all of us, pissed or not.

On a personal level. Seriously people, you don't have better things in your life to get "pissed" about?

That's what I'm saying. This smells like BS. When I contacted PGI on November 27th to see if I can get the Atlas they told me no because it would be unfair to the people who payed on time. Hypocrisy? The Atlas is the only one I need too.
