Yep. Same situation here. I guess the moral of the story is to not pony up big money right off the bat (which seems weird since you'd figure PGI would prefer this). Apparently those players who bought in at a lower level before 12/16 but upgraded to Wrath after 12/16 do in fact get the anniversary mechs.

But the more I think about it, people like you and me have spent our money already so we are not the target audience for this promo... this promotion is trying to get people to spend MORE money. Perhaps they were on the fence for upgrading or whatever and now this will push them over the edge.

How about something for everyone who actually pay to keep this all running instead of a "here's free mech for coming onboard two years later..."

you get the monthly rewards by buying early.... at any price level. So I get the full monthly rewards and spend $20 a month on the Resistence Pack.

So, what led you to believe this was supposed to be a "LOYALTY" reward. Yes, the mechs have the little (L), but where in the release post does it say that?

I am reading through it again. "Customer appreciation award" "Anniversary award" "anniversary award mechs" No mention of "LOYALTY" award anywhere. It seems pretty clear that they are doing this to celebrate their anniversary, reward their customers, and maybe spur some revenue sales. So the announcement claims anyway.

Are you sure your not making assumptions based on something not in evidence?

The problem is not that you bought early and enjoyed monthly rewards from the beginning BUT
who bought the Wrath Pack in Oct/Nov ONLY gets the monthly rewards, who bought (or will buy) in installments, i.e. start with the $20 pack and upgrade monthly or upgrades to Wrath Pack ONLY NOW gets the monthly awards AS WELL AS the mechs.

Probably works as intended (because who already has the Wratch Pack now has to buy the Urbanmech Collector to awail of the 2nd round of bonus mechs) but leaves a bad aftertaste ...

Do you also appreciate to anyone who bought the MC? I never seen you give the reward to anyone who bought the MC, in out there, there could be so many players had spend their hundreds or even thousands of USD for buying the MC. Shouldn't they been also appreciated?

So, in summary, we were once lied to, and two times definitions and/or time frames were stretched...
While I am grateful for the free mechs and appreciate the the general idea, it seems very thoughtless and somewhat desperate to sell the current packages! They might have swapped mechs, made new cammos or something along this line.
Very simple ways might have avoided this shallow feeling of money-grabbing and kicking the most devoted spenders in the nuts.
And its REALLY unfair for those Pilots who got a top-tier before the time-limit!

tl,dr: Its a nice idea, with 0 efford put into it!

Maybe it's just the titling of the promo that makes people upset. By stating that it's the 15 year anniversary customer appreciation rewards, people expect something grand and unique. Thus the founders, feeling as if they had been longer loyal customers feel as though they deserve something more since they have supported PGI longer. Or people that have spent more money on the game feel as though they should receive a reward proportional to their spending, instead of a reward the same as someone who spent just $40.

If PGI had simply titled the promo as, BONUS Mechs for Current Top Tier Packages or something, I don't think the feedback would've been as negative as this.

Gee, I'm a loyal supporter since I started playing. Which was in November. I drop $ 6,95 a month and also gave a Panther away to a friend for his birthday. When I read about the promo, I upgraded my Urbanmech package (which was a birthday gift as well), to receive the free mechs.

But now I see I wasn't loyal at all. So come here with your holyness loyalness and smite this unworthy user and take away his free mechs.

It was a nice idea to give away these mechs, because before november I didn't knew about this game. I'm not big on computer games, so i don't read any news about them. I like to buy a new AC part and play and played SW:TOR on this PC. When a friend brought me in i decided to spend some money on this game. And this promo made it possible to generate new income, and they wouldn't have got another 20 bucks without it.

So go somewhere into your little more-loyal-than-you-corner and leave everyone else alone. You are the only one who isn't happy that other guys got your toys. Pour single child, never learned to share. I really despise you.

I am no founder, I just do not want a second AH, thankfully I can wait until this is over before upgrading packages.
I think PGI needs a new incentive program, I was thinking of a Tier system where based on what Tier level of Mech packages you get, they add a Tier of Modules. Gonna put some time into detailing that.

I thought for your 15th anniversary, you'd give out a Duke Nukem bling piece, or have some mention of Nakatomi Plaza. Is PGI all mechwarrior now? The first 12 years didn't count?
