“ "Our victories here have proved the rightness of the Way of the Clans; let it always be so among those of the True Faith. Let these few words always announce our coming and portend our victory." -Speaking on Clan Liberation Day, May 26, 2822 “ We will purge our old ideals and ethics; those belong to the corrupt stars of the Inner :Sphere, and will not serve as we begin anew. Now, while our minds are open and yearning for new :insight, we must remold them and fill them with the truth of our destiny. For we are destined :not only to be different from those we left behind, but also better. My father knew this, :and saved us from the holocaust of the Inner Sphere. I accept it as truth, and have returned to :lead you, the survivors of this most bitter trial.
— Nicholas Kerensky to his loyalists on Strana Mechty, 2802

He said you don't care about treaties, he didn't say you'd broken one. Reading comprehension fail.
What the **** does the screenshot have to do with anything if he isn't trying to imply we broke a treaty of some kind? Can you please explain your logic, because it seems like you have none.

No cease fire accord at this time with Davion. Once we have one then maybe we can do some skirmish fun everyone now and then to keep the anger alive once the clans are defeated? ;p

So don't participate. The nSL isn't something pointed at you nor is your participation or approval required for it to work.
The problem isn't anyone not participating. It's saying "I don't want to do this and nobody else should either".

Whether the DCMS chooses to joint he nSL or not is not really in his hands. He is welcome to voice his opinions on the matter publicly on this forum though. Please keep in mind that anything being posted is PERSONAL opinion and not the voice of the DCMS Council.
I've seen a few posts from people with things like "Kurita should join the nSL or else...". Veiled threats certainly aren't a good way to get the DCMS on board but I treat these statements as one individuals' opinion unless specifically being stated by an nSL representative.

Mischief, I really don't care whether you participate or not. By all means, do whatever makes you enjoy this game more. Long live the star league, if that's what makes you happy. What I'm objecting to is the ridiculous and apparently sincere rhetoric about how this is some kind of meaningful or important thing. It's just not, at all.

I've been guilty of this as much as anyone, and I have to agree. One does not easily make friends by pointing a gun at someone and demanding they see things your way.

To clarify, my whole position is that we need to get away from the all or nothing approach. Not everyone in every faction is going to be on board and that's okay. We need to go into this knowing that after the treaty there will still be some cross border hostility and that's okay. The point is that the majority of the big boys stay on point and knocking down Clanners and we don't get led off mission by a handful of people.
My personal opinion on it all is probably a bit extreme but I set that aside to recognize the bigger picture. A lot of people erroneously view the clans as unstoppable and cw totally broken (instead of just mostly broken). If we get some coordination going and roll the clans back it will better all of cw. There will be time for is on is later. Let those without the stomach for large, complex goals do their own thing. That should not lead the nLS off track.

The DCMS will stand or fall together. You will either get all or nothing from us (at least with the larger council units). We can not afford to be divided in our actions. For the DCMS to even consider joining the nSL the Marik wormhole must be closed first, MS is flooding our corner every night and they have our full attention at the moment. Dealing with clans will have to wait until we close off this new unexpected front that started off as a friendly experiment.

I hope in some way it works out for you but that is, in a socio-historical perspective, a tough row to hoe.

I believe we're more about the fights... afterall Kurita seems quite happy to continually throw 12man unit's to try and claim the Marik wormhole experiment (AFTER the main Marik unit's went Kurita). All MS has done is finish off the algorithm to try and entice it north again towards the CSJ corridor, which seems to be stalemating.
I don't believe I have seen Steiner or Davion complain, we've had some good fights and learnt some things from the unit's on those borders, and we haven't even hit Laio in our time working in Marik.

Nice things aren't given... particularly in an online game where there are so many differing goals, some want to play behind curtains, others ride the coat-tails of those in front, whilst others lead by example and guts alone... CW is a simmering pot ready to boil over, will it make a tasty dish or leave a bad taste? Who can say! All we can do is push that envelope and see what happens with CW (eg. the Wolf attack algorithm has been completely broken such they need to manually override it now).

Yes this is true. I was calling out Kurita. I didn't realize that they hadn't actually signed onto it before I did it. So ya, my bad. Of course this is good news to me, it means Kurita planets are open game again.

Thanks for being honest about it RjBass, i was really sick of that guy trying to pretend that a perfectly straightforward post meant anything but what it said.
