I can confirm that. The Kurita / FRR non aggression pact stand firm from the beginning of CW. It took some time for both sides to fully enforce it, but since then I think we can say that the Kurita / FRR border is the most peacefull border in the Inner Sphere.

Marik/Liao might be a little more peaceful.

So if the clans have more powerful mechs, then why are they nerfed? I should be able to wipe out an entire Lance of IS with my default loaded Timberwolf. If you pay for your clan mechs why would you get under performed mechs? The IS rallied to fight an enemy and outnumbered them, so maybe in CW they should not nerf the clans superior mechs but change the numbers to 12v16.

I don't know just my two cents. Clan mechs should have better heat management, better range, and better accuracy across all weapon types.

Perhaps 12v10. One company vs one Binary makes more canonical sense.

Funny how well it's worked, though. Have the Clans taken anything of importance since it came into effect?

Guess no one here visits the FRR forum much.

A Star League is not necessary to help our northern houses. Marik can continue to help the FRR and DC without limiting ourselves in a pact that favours hostile houses more than us.

Yeah the Star League thing just doesnt feel right to me. I would rather take the fightt o the clans as Marik via Drilling a hole north wherever we can get one going. The idea of just stopping our fights just so we can defend some other factions worlds just, well, it drains any desire to drop in CW to be frank. If I wanted to defend FRR or DC I would join those factions. I don't mind helping out once our stuff is in order but just stopping annoys me.

What's worse is MS decided to join FWL Just as this ceasefire thing happened. Just a few days earleir and everyone would have been happy as clowns to have the extra firepower at our disposal. Now we have half the faction berating them for doing what we were all doing just a week before while the rest of us just sits on teh sideline wondering if our leadership is going to sour relations wiht MS to the point they will never come back.

If we do a real Inner Sphere Ceasefire then Liao has nowhere to go. Davion has nowhere to go. FWL has nowhere to go. We will all lose even more players either to other factions or just to general apathy towards CW.

The only factions to really benefit from this is Steiner and Davion. Davion is bleeding worlds on all fronts and needs the ceasefire. Steiner IS likewise bleeding planets in the north and the south and can't defend both borders effectivly. Especially sinc eone border is vs the clans.

We need an orginized Clan response but a Inner Spehre ceasefire just isn't the way to do it. IT simply isn't going to happen.

I think I can say I speak for more than a few in House Kurita that we hope people in Marik don't take us declining the Star League invitation as a rejection of our friendship with Marik. We've been together ever since CW has started and both benefited from the alliance - as a member of the DCMS High Council I can't think of anyone here that dislikes Marik or wants to see our relationship get hurt because of this decision.

FRR doesn't really get anything out of it either. It all soudns nice to hear the Southen Houses are going to send troops to help defend teh northern houses. Never mind the fact we've been doing that anyway. It's not a lack of troops, It's a lack of coordination. The nSL doesn't really provide that.

I want FRR to stick around. They are useful as an attack point on the clans. The more attack points we can put on the clans the thinner their forces are spread. It requires us to get nroth and in contact to provide even more pressure. Davion and Liao need to get up here to but it isn't going to happen if they agree to an IS ceasefire.

If we want to save the Northen Houses we have to be able to attack. Right now that is where the clans have the advantage. They can all focus on one state. We need to take that away. Sending all our troops to the northern houses isn't going to open up new attack options. It isn't going to spread them out any. We need the flexibility to be able to shift forces from defence to attack as openings come up.

That's why the merc units and the volunteer corps or whatever it will ultimately be called are the sword. The southern loyalist units are the shield. One without the other is ultimately useless.

They haven't gained anything?

News to them. They've finally been able to go on the offensive and have stopped bleeding planets like when they were overwhelmed because there was barely a token force of uncoordinated pugs from other houses defending.

As for Davion, they're never going to have an attack OR defend capability if their borders are swamped with more than twice their active players daily.

You can disagree with the need for it, but you can't argue with the results.

Am I correct in that so far only the FWL, FRR, and several merc units are all that have agreed to the Star League?

DCMS and Liao have stated they are not onboard, I haven't heard of even a single Steiner unit agreeing and only a few davion units....

Is this a correct and current assessment of the parties involved?

If so then it looks as if the -MS- hissy fit and propaganda war has been an overwhelming success, which is unfortunate to any player not in -MS- or one of its sister units. I guess -MS- simply can not abide any one else trying to make alliances that are not under -MS- control and that may actually present competition to them.

-MS- is why no one in this game will ever have nice things lol.

As far as I know, Davion and Liao are both onboard for the most part, there are just some tensions over borders and planetary ownership atm. Steiner is also onboard.

Also, I think there is a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding involved in the MS thing. I still think it's a salvageable situation with them, but I'm just one guy. It's up to people above my "pay grade" on either side to make that call.

Afaik "Aces" had agreed too.

There´s is no worldwide High Command for Steiner atm, nothing I know

Davion command is on board, our standing orders are to defend on the Clan border whenever possible, but the volume of attacks by rogue Liao and Kurita units has tied up a fair amount of our assets, reducing the number of troops we can spare. Talks between Liao and Davion apparently broke down when Liao demanded positively absurd territorial concessions.

The Liao and Kuritan units attacking you aren't rogue. Neither faction has agreed to be part of the star league, and we'll keep taking your worlds until they're all gone, Davion Clanner Dog.
