Some form of regulation in the matchmaking algorithm would be nice imo, so that things like this doesn't occur too often. Unless, of course, this mode was made exclusive with large premades in mind.

CW is supposed to be hardcore mode, and large groups definately have the advantage.

That is, it's for units and very experienced solo players.

Yes, this means a mob of single players can end up vs. a large unit. There's no "balance" here, if you're up against a good group, nature will take it's course and you lose. You're in a queue where groups are expected, not split off into their own queue.
Learn to be friendly- when you're solo, and there's a group- ask for their TeamSpeak, get into faction groups, fight together. 12-man CW fights are not at all designed for Random Rambos.

The third round was a counter attack, with a 10 man against pugs and a 4man and i was like "yay" and what happened? those guys played like drunk and didn't hit a thing... these days...

It basically is Clan wars, cuz after awhile, its only going to be the Premade "clans" playing it. I guess IS guys will spam their TDRs and the clans their TBRs and SCRs, pugs will leave and it will die....

Signed up with House Marik for 14 days, I think it was. Played about 4 matches per evening.
First 2 battles, we happened to have at least one 3-man named unit on our side, and they typed in chat where to meet up, whether to bring lights or big guys next drop, etc. So a decent bit of coordination that helped the new CWers. (Won one, lost one but it was close... the win was against a fairly large named group)
After that, results varied. Sometimes I was on a good team, sometimes the larger groups called strategy sometimes they just did their own thing. As the 2nd week neared an end, I felt I had learned enough that if we were a total solo-PUG group I would call some basic moves and locations (not as 'commander' but just as, hey guys lets meet in D4 then push Beta sorta thing).
People seemed to listen better in CW than in normal queue, especially if they got stomped the first wave. So you may need to learn some basic strats and take an active role if no one on your team is. It won't make a solo group winners, but it does improve the feel of the match I found.

Don't be shy, there are plenty of groups out there and most are very friendly.

I didn't have an Ingame picture of it yet.
You could pretty much just put a gun on the side and be good to go.

Also, there is no MM, just wait time until there's 12 people on each side.
