Maybe, if MWO becomes as successful as we all want it to be, PGIGP can collect money from all the users here to buy Harmony Gold (and the rights for the Unseen) and then implement a lot of the glorious mech designs that matter to the community (all we need to do is grow to the size of WoW in terms of users and then the taking over of Harmony Gold should be a piece of cake

Harmony Gold, left to it's own devices probably wouldn't have, it was a big toy company that stirred up the mess who's name I can't remember. Fasa had the image rights from the Studio, but one greedy company and one ***** judge later and blech. I can't remember the links, plenty of topics here and on the intertubes with the details I am probably messing up.

It makes sense only in context with a weak story. Seriously, BT Mechs? They could have made their mechs look like anything (e.g. futuristic panzerized mech) and would have been MORE in context and in story line. This is pure rip off to the point where it takes away from the storyline. Anyway, I will never dismiss the context of a swastika. It only has one context and doesnt need to be glorifed in any way.
It has plenty of context, just the Nazi's perverted it to western eye's. Fylfots abound in various cultures, but the damage the Nazi's did to it will take a long long time to heal.
And ya,

or even put a Stahlhelm on a humanoid mech, Ta Da

But that Quickhammer is just lazy. Marvel should can the artist for a.) potentially putting them at risk and b.) for being lazy.
Now this though, this is cool.

then you simply dont get the joke:
an educated mind should know that the swastika is a ancient indic symbol of PEACE!
i never understand why people associate a millenia old peace symbol with a bunch of stupid gangsters ruling over germany for not even 20 jears - just because they found this joke funny too.
with the same argument we could start banning crosses...

You sir deserve an Urbanmech! I am glad I'm not the only one who gets a bit peeved when people are like ERMEGERD SWASTIKER! And instantly say it's a hate symbol o.e Yes what the Nazi's did was ungodly terrible and deserved to be destroyed, but really people, look up your symbols before you slander then. It's like people thinking Jesus was the only person crucified (i.e for people who don't know, Ceasar did that to thousands of people also)

The professional vultures from marvel et al would settle on HG and rip their case and IP to shreds. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if marvel et al went to japan and pursued it there, too.
Heeereee hg hg ... er, "fishy fishy."

Thank you for explaining that in its entirety, maybe, JUST MAYBE, I might forgive HG. If not, then god help them when I finish my life size, fully operational Warhammer, let them sue me then, for copyright infringement, with their offices a bit more crispy. *laughs manically*

Probably confusing copyright with trademarks.
There is no possible way to just lose copyright ownership. The only way is to sign a legally binding document that makes an exclusive transfer of rights from the owner to a new party.

impressive guess! mainly early mesopotamia. and i realy want to talk to the guy who ordered the bomb drops on eridu during the gulf war - i wanted to DIG there some day. thats gone now...
and please dont get me wrong: i was not upset but serious with "i dont understand it" - because i tried and failed.
i see such things like a great and beautiful sword, crafted by a master, ment for symbolic uses. if its stolen by a insane maniac who slays countless people with it (or in its name), how can i associate the dead with the sword or even the smith?
but its something completely different when the madman would craft/buy the sword for his insane plan - in this case i could understand the reaction...

I guess I did get sorta testy, it's just with me it is a pet peeve, what little history I do know, I tend to get annoyed when people miunderstand it. Like The civil war, actually was STARTED over trade embargoes (or however ya spell it xD )
