From Quirks Sneak Peak:
TDR-9S
Specialty
Additional Structure (LT&RT) +15
ER-PPC Heat Gen -12.5%
Energy Weapon Heat Gen -12.5%
ER-PPC Cooldown +12.5%
Energy Weapon Cooldown +12.5%
ER-PPC Velocity +30%
Laser Duration -15%
Missile Weapon Cooldown +15%

vs the current:
ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE (LT): 15.00
ADDITIONAL STRUCTURE (RT): 15.00
ER PPC HEAT GENERATION: -25.00 %
ENERGY HEAT GENERATION: -25.00 %
ER PPC COOLDOWN: 12.50 %
ENERGY COOLDOWN: 12.50 %
ER PPC VELOCITY: 15.00 %
LASER DURATION: -15.00 %

Well, there goes half your cooling.... bye bye spam!

But nice consolation of increasing the velocity.

Shame they can't just fix the PPC velocity to start with, and thus not need uber stupid level quirks to make them "viable".

Still kiddies, might want to vent your rage this weekend, because tuesday come, y'all are gonna need a new toy!

LOL.

Is this necessary?

I know trolling about stuff like this happens... but do we really need to rub it in?

I'm already amused at people justifying 7.5 heat ERPPCs, but clearly people don't know balance until it hit them in the face... repeatedly.

Makes me wonder why PGI seems to take things so far the first time and then reels it back in.

necessary? No, but I admit, I'm pretty salty. So yeah, I want them to spew their rage here, their venom and justifications.

For me, the Thud actually got more attractive....because it doesn't set off my lactose intolerance just thinking about using it.

Never said I was perfect or above it all.

To set an "Oh ****! We ****ed up!" point, then dial it back to normal, sane levels.

Marketing. Just look at what the sales are, and you can usually tell what's gonna be nerfed.

It's a good thing, and it isn't an outright nerf.

You'll like this Bishop, since what it means is that the TDR-9S isn't necessarily worse, but that it's less viable to bring an entire team of TDR-9S. It makes it more specialized. They're still very strong, but pushed more into the Support spectrum along with the Dragon-1N.

I will admit to loving the salty tears.

I'd rather be more amusing in obtaining it.

I'd still think PGI won't help your Summoner in any meaningful way in a while just as a sneaky retort. :P

Yawn, not really. Anyone who did a 2 ERPPC build instead of a 3 ERPPC build isn't going to be hit too hard by this change to the heat. And the velocity increase just made it a more terrifying sniper at range.

I figure they won't because Russ i spissed I keep nailing him over their inability to scale a dang thing correctly. He got real salty about the Enforcer (well, he was already salty about the Urbanmech...despite me being one of the cheerleaders pushing sales. But he got REAL slaty about the butterface Enforcer. Crazy thought.... don't let it get past QA looking like crap?)

I absolutely love it. And in seriousness, not because of the QQ. But because that is how it should be... either all around good, or VERY good at one thing. For some people this is actually a "BUFF".

It's a little extreme. I already didn't take mine out more than once or twice; now I'll never take it out.

I'd rather go for the Panther.

I don't see the 9S going away ... I just see its role changing and those whom can aim / snipe fruitfully enjoying themselves. DPS drops a bit sure but pinpoint accuracy at range goes up with the speed increase. That is my initial take. Real work experience may ultimately say otherwise. I'll still happily take one on Boreal. :)

I heartily support this. We find ourselves often with 1 too many Dragon 1N ... not remembering that it is a support cannon ... not a primary push mech. Maybe my TDR5SS will have a nice role leading in the front of our TDR9S brethren.

Um... lots of things get past QA. Don't make me recite chapter and verse... it's not entertaining unless you like torture.

Anyone else remember people whining that the 15% velocity on it is what allowed it to be so op and hit targets at range? Now it's 30%, good god people will practically be sniping horizontally moving fleas now! :D

I didn't so much agree with the urbs. The enforcer face though I'm on board but don't really care about that mech so much.

30% velocity speed? this is a net buff I say. Less spamming, but more hits. Going to be fun come Tuesday.

Good, it seems ALOT more reasonable now. ERPPC should be long range weapons with high heat. So, good velocity but hot...good.
