Who was even putting LRMs on the QKD? I can't imagine anyone doing it except some newbie.

Technicron Manufacturing and Luthien Armor Works

See these are build to be war machines that fight like a soldier. So the normally need to be useful at most if not all ranges. There are some exceptions but those would be the role specific builds.

the Quickdraw proved itself to be a good generalist 'Mech. Packing excellent firepower, solid armor protection and above-average speed, it quickly earned the respect of many MechWarriors and status as a workhorse in every Successor State's military.[2][3]

The stock also comes with an SRM4, so the "the stock has an LRM10" argument isn't really valid. It is also an infinitely more useful weapon system than the LRM10s in MWO. The LRM10 still benefited from the general cooldown bonus for those who liked "a generalist QKD" (a very bad idea in MWO). Heck, the 4H doesn't even have the tubes for triple LRM10 builds.

I have seen exactly one good Quickdraw pilot. I dont know who it was but he was good and made that mech shine. I have seen one good Arrow pilot to. Theres a theme here anyway. :) Anyone takes enough time to equip their favourite mech and master it will do well. Its up to the guys in the balance department to give every mech its fair shake, as best they can.

Hey there's a bunch of us out here.

I am a believer that you should have to take time and master a mech (not XP-wise, skills-wise) before you are good in it.

People been spoiled with certain mechs and builds that lean more towards lower-skill requirement for high-damage output.

I've tried LRMs on the 4H - it doesn't work well. The most effective builds are mixes of medium lasers and SRMs. LRM specific quirks won't really hurt the mech (it does get a few generalist missile quirks alongside them, after all) but they certainly don't fit the role it actually plays in MWO. I understand that canonically it's a mixed-arsenal generalist but it seems somewhat unfair to balance it that way in the context of the game we're actually playing.

Also canonically I'm pretty sure it doesn't go 100+ KPH

I must say that they are walking a fine line considering the cost of modules. If you buy a modules for a mech to buff a quirk then PGI change said quirk???????

Then, perhaps the best solution would be less noise from the ever present "Peanut Gallery" about how they hate every Quirk, on every Mech, ever quirked. But like that would ever happen. ;)
