still easy, but seriously, I came across a firestarter on HPG, that stood still, gave it 3x6 CERML and 2x CERSL and he only had a yellow cored sidetorso, rest was rather much only yellow armor, -.- and the end scoreboard is easily is kmissing between 30 and 40% damage, because I usually can very closely estimate my damage to the results.

indirectly yes, events seem to affect playernumbers, whcich seems to make the serverperformance worse (I also microwarp around quite more than usual) and so hitreg also gets worse.

It appears to be related to the number of people in matches concurrently - event weekends typically have more players online.

I saw a lot of microwarps, and large warps too (it was a raven).

I would like to know how playerbase changes during the weekend.

I wonder what PGIw ants to d, to cover the sudden player increase when it alunches on steam, because this will definately give a spike in players for soem time when many want to try the game.

Not just hitreg, anything resembling a stable ping seems to have disappeared as well. I keep spiking up to ~1300ms

Without doubt, with steam release, gameplay will be very poor with actual server.
I imagine PGI will buy/rent more servers before steam release: so to avoid new players the Hit reg "experience".
(not only the phantom raven.... my laser vomit hellbringer seemed to have halved its vomit tonight....)

There's your issue, it was a firestarter. Hitboxes are still screwed on it like the Spider's were.

Well, I used a lot of laser tonight, and I must admit they didn't do the usual damage, not only vs firestarter (that has good hitboxes). The adder! I met an adder that didn't wanted to die. It's not that normal :)
But again, usually I know how much damage I have done in a match...and it's a "surprise" to see 100-200 dmg less than I was expecting...

I had no problem with ballistic: ac20 did the usual damage and kills.
LRM too, I saw quite normal.

It seems that laser had issues, but, honestly I don't know why there is that difference in hit reg.

it's currently anything, even the supersized atlas that came bewtwen the citadell buildings ate like 300 damage alone. at first i was like:


MUAHAHAHAHAHA poor guy, then he walked out there with barely any damge. endscreen even only showed 320 damage, and the altas was not the only one I shot at.
there is roughly around 200 less damage now, but those 200 damage can turn entre matches because its the difference between killing one or 2 mechs that are cored.

This has to be the easiest competition they've ever done.... how on earth can people be struggling with it?

Hit reg isn't that bad so perhaps I'll return the common epithet used by the op "l2p".
