What Would Make You Spend [Another] 50 Bucks On This Game?

Maybe this will accomplish through "boredom" what the community could never do through organization of a spending boycott, a decrease in income for PGI that causes them to up their game.

At this point, I feel I have enough mechs, variety, options etc that I am unlikely to buy any package for a fair while. (I'm not a collector, there are no 'must have' mechs for me etc.)
Things I would still pay out cash for:
1) A Solaris Arena package, offering Solaris-oriented mechs AND introducing at least 3 Solaris maps featuring some kind of slugging match with maybe a drop deck option (not a fan AT ALL of single-mech respawn). Single mech battles without respawn (like we have now) should be OK but drop deck would be a nifty wrinkle. (It should really also feature Duncan Fisher voice-overs and Arena rewards similar to current Faction ones)
2) A PvE release. The most recent one I have played was MW4: Mercs and I thought that had a nice, fly-between-systems, buy/trade mechs and gear, accept missions for various factions etc. feel to it. Doesn't need to be single-player (in fact shouldn't be) but still should be able to PUG it or solo it if need be (hire NPC lance mates if no players in with you, for instance). I don't imagine PGI will be able to do this... just saying that I would pay for it.
3) Possibly, any package in the $20-$30 range that I felt was offering something I need but don't have (like the Modules included in recent packages... because I haven't been buying RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED modules). The value would need to be hefty, which is not always recommended for long term business practices (people start to expect too much). Just saying again that, if my $$ are gonna head their way, that's an option.
4) Anything else that is significantly different/cool from the 40-50 mixed IS/Clan mechs I already run, as that is enough to cover most of the basic builds/playstyles currently available. Again, has to be hefty value/$$ because I don't just throw money at the flavor of the month.

CW wouldn't be as monotonous. Some maps would obviously be easier to defend than others, but it'd be ok because there would be planets that could be easily attacked. CW would become more interesting than simply "Let's go play Terra Therma or whatever on planets one, two and three!"
The problem with this is, producing a map generator, and then fiddling with the results might prove to be too much work for PGI.

Continued movement along the current trajectory. The wallet was clamped shut for most of 2014 for MWO, but at the end after the IGP split and the opening on a conversation with the players (even through ngng's softball questions) things are moving the right way. CW got introduced, and Russ gets it that it needs more depth. I threw down on a basic resistance to get in early solely for the loyality crab, and then maxed it when CW dropped. I bought a basic urbie package to help send the message that they need to listen to the community (and 12v12 urbie CW will be hilarious).
To me, it's not any specific item, it is seeing the game moving toward filling out the original vision. I've thrown down money in good faith as they have taken some good steps. They need to move the game forward some more and fill out CW with depth, and polish a lot of other stuff before I think about it again. In my mind I've already paid it forward, it's their turn to deliver.

Out of curiosity (and this is kind of the point of the thread), what does "upping their game" mean to you? Other than cheaper stuff?

You keep saying that, but it would make gauss the best weapon in the game by such a long way.. i would literally put one on every single mech i played. and id probably only play Dire wolves so i could have 3.
maaaaybe, if the cooldown was increased to at least 8 seconds (and the grid iron adjusted)
edit: they should only explode when charged though..

I'll wait to see what voip does to the playerbase/gameplay and see after that...if it keeps sliding to a WoT style of gameplay/target audience I can't see anymore dollars flowing towards PGI's coffers to be honest.
I won't pay for a game not catered to my interests, i.e the ones stated at the start! Community-based, faction-led TEAM battletech game. Keep taking the onus on working with others away and my dollars will work with something else:)

-add some stuff to make CW more interesting/rewarding
-fix the servers issues hitreg/teleporting mechs
-fix the scaling of mechs and cockpit views
- less dumb attack lanes maps more open and diverse maps
-more visual polish on maps (seriously most maps are barely a visual upgrade from mw4)
-more polish on mech animations (smoother walk/run etc)
really i could careless about new mechs at this point id rather see current content refined and polished more

Maybe if Clan Wave 3 does not suck, then I might buy it. I like my gargle and the sh*t lynx can be fun, too but ultimately only the Hellbringer was interesting in Wave 2. The Ice Ferret sounded interesting too but in the end it is just to big of a target.
PS: wait a minute... ah yes, I bought the Urbie collectors.... guess I lost control over myself.

So what would you actually spend 50 dollars on, if not new mechs? Even if they fix all those things, how would you spend the money?

*Shrug* I've got the Ember, Huginn, X5, Flame, Ilya, Kit Fox Prime, and Stormcrow Prime as hero mechs...guess I've got a thing for them.
