More Consumable Options

Any other ideas out there?
Some of these could be a good game changer, how about mine field on skirmish mode, might make a team think twice about doing the right had circle tactic that is SO prevalent.
Or smoke screen when you are on caustic and find your self in the open with the LRM rain coming down?

Seriously though, I support this.
In addition to smoke, I'd like a consumable to "flush/jam narc", perhaps a ecm-burst consumable, perhaps some eccm version.

Narc flush would be pretty cool...is there any warning that you've been Narc'd yet? You'd kinda need to know when to use that module...

Need some kind of space control to be the used on the star map.(logistics said to be added later)
Look up and it shows the capital ship in low orbit if its eligible to be used in that match.

You think people abuse arty now... wait until mines are added.

I agree. Mines should be a support vehicle option like mech commander.
Makes me giggle how it would effect the "Omega light rush" after a support vehicle player dumps a bunch of mines in front of it.

I'd like the opposite, less consumable slots but more consumables -> more variety, tougher choices, less arty strikes. .

Personally think the consumables were a poor addition to the game, many of them simply took away from personal skill of pilots. Dropping a Strike on the opposing team to chip off their armor so you can more easily win the poking game afterwards does not take as much skill by any stretch of imagination as does winning the poking game without said Strike.
The coolshots are another, maintaining heat levels was a practised skill, something you got used to by sticking to a build for long enough that you knew always exactly how much you could get away at every situation without even looking at the heat meter, that's what skill is about. The coolshots allow people to get away with much hotter builds than before, which creates the situation that you either run hotter yourself or be shot into pieces because of carrying less firepower.
UAV is something I am quite okay with, it's something which has counter play to it... you can shoot it down. You can do nothing of such against coolshots or the strikes, there are many times you can not fully get away from strikes either, you just gotta eat it.
So from my point of view... no more consumables, at all, thank you. I want even the current ones removed, with possible exception of letting everyone carry the UAV and making it cost more.

Mines
Clans should get deployable, temporary elementals.
Wouldn't mind seeing something akin to a napalm strike, that set an area on fire for a while with a substantially higher heat penalty for mechs caught inside it.
Flares - light up an area of a night map for a short while.

Ok, sounds cool. I imagine this could work just like Arty or Airstrikes today only with no explosions and 1000% more smoke. I'm on board with this.

Really... really? We have this it's called Seismic Sensor and it's NOT a consumable

So you want to be shot at by AI controlled turrets... you mean like in Assault and CW? You WANT TO BE SHOT AT by player placeable items? Ok, first, no. Let me explain way.
Pick any map. ANY MAP. You typically have 1 or 2 directions you can go. Now imagine the other team places 12 turrets in the corridor of option 1. Where does that leave you? No where to go but option 2... but wait, what's this? There's GAUSS PPC snipers waiting in options 2 for you? So what, you eat the fire from options 1 AND THEN FACE THE GAUSS PPC snipers? Man that sounds fun. You mean the whole time I did 0% damage to my enemies and they've maybe killed 2 of us in return? Damn skippy sign me up. If you don't think this will happen just look at how many Arty and Airstrikes fly before any real combat breaks out.

So you never saw a team making a push just after having put some arty on the frontline/shockpoint to clear the path? Or them being used as area denial to prevent the enemy team from pushing?
Even the coolshot... Your mech don't get -50% heat for a whole game you know? So even in your exemple of someone running a very hot build, managing your heat with only one or two options to cool your Mech down requires a lot of skill.
Do you also consider using a Gauss as skill-less, because it makes that "poking game" you speak of more easy? Shouldn't we all have only medium lasers and the same chassis so we'll see whose "Tru Skillz" "iz Bezt!" then?
Strange gamers are strange...
Smoke Screen are a very good idea that never make it to the Devs ears so far.
A decoy module spawning a few false contacts on the radar would be great too. Mines are cool but seem rather hard to balance well.
