Why did you ignore every bit of advice on VOIP and not implement a permanent block list?
Permanent block is what makes people behave, they know they can be silenced forever. Now there will be much higher idiot problems.
Dumb move PGI.

Ah the internets.
The place where half cocked people can ***** about what they would have done and cry about what has been done regardless if it's a step in the right direction.

I'm sure I'll get used to having to use a button to mute the morons I don't want to hear.
I also drive a manual car so maybe I'm just used to not having everything spoon fed to me.

Where can I see that "long ago" what was and what was now the mech's quirks, ie the rate of change?
I would like to see the direction of change, rather than the total amount!

what have you done to the Quickdraw 4H?!

Before:

Energy Weapon Heat Generation-12.5%
SRM/4 Cooldown10%
Missile Weapon Cooldown10%
SRM/4 Range10%
Missile Weapon Range10%

Now:
LRM 10 Cooldown +10
Missile Cooldown +10%
LRM 10 Heat Generation -10%
Missile Heat Generation -10%
Medium Laser Cooldown +10%
Energy Cooldown +10%
Energy Heat Generation -12.5%

i mean better Med lasers, yay. but LRMs? the 4H has 3 missile points. one (ONE!) with 10 tubes, one with 5 and one with 4.

which means he will stagger the LRM cloud into 19, 9, and 2 missiles. anything with Dual AMS can just eat the 2nd and 3rd stagger away like nothing.

please, please, please undo that. or up the tubes on all hardpoints to 10. but that now is just crappy

VOIP is a great addition, but is there anyway we could get a overlay that shows what teammate is speaking?

Sounds like if you do not have enough drive space for the patch to unpack itself and then install, that it fails and then makes you do a full reinstall. Sounds like you need more than 20 Gigs free from what I'm hearing above.

So make sure you have tons of free space...maybe like 30+ gigs.

PGI, you may want to check the error handing. Not having enough space should just equal a message about that, not a full reinstall. If that's what's happening. ;)

That's funny. People already start ranting about VOIP and in my first 3 matches after the patch i obviously am the only one in the team that won't get it set up. Where is the FAQ, why don't you inform people before you implement it about the requirements? When i use TS3 my setup works fine. Anything outside the ingame client in Win7 that has to be set? C3? Thanks.

Edit: Everythings fine, There was just nobody talking for 4 or 5 matches. Not a single word.
I was the only one failing (so i thought) because in the own "Lobby row" is no speaker symbol.
Well, we'll get used to it :-) I'm postive about these news.

The Enforcer is a pretty great mech. Dual Uac/5s for fire support/supressions. 2 Large lasers and 3 mediums for laser support. And the other thing.

Yay! Another step forward!

Double yay! More forum mega whiners! Never happy. At least they might not QQ about NERFs or game play or the sun rising for a few days.

Can't wait to play the Panther and Enforcer, and turn off in-game VoIP.

After playing some rounds with PNT-9R, ENF-4R and ENF-5D, I must say that I'm happy for purchasing the Wrath pack. I'm not a great fan of light 'mechs, but the 9R was fun, so I hope other two will be good too, gonna find out tomorrow... And Enforcers are running kinda hot, probably my fault, but it's great to have more Medium 'mechs with jumpjets and good weaponry, since the only 'mechs with jumpjets I have are Blackjacks :)

As for the voice chat, it's a great feature, really useful in solo drops. Had no problems with that, people could hear me clearly.

Now there is a small problem, not sure if it only occurs on HPG Manifold, but there was some kind of lag. I mean, I was shooting directly at a Timberwolf and suddenly it was few meters left of my cursor. I played only 6 matches so far, so I can't tell if it happens on other maps too.

In overall, great patch, great mechs, I'm so glad I'm getting home sooner tomorrow so I can try out the resistance 'mechs some more. :D

Did you actually have any problems with people yet?
Did you already try to mute people and see if they are still muted in the next game?

From the patch notes listed in the OP
When necessary, you are of course able to mute or un-mute individual players by clicking on that player through either the pre-match ready screen or the in-match scoreboard. Under the current implementation muting a player is only applied per-match. Running into a previously muted player in another match will require that you mute them again, if necessary.

Or they just did not have the time to put it in but did not want it to delay the release of VOIP.

Whiteknight for lazy work all you want.
It would have taken all of an hour to implement saving blocklist to a local XML file and restoring list each game.
Lack of the feature will lead to more VOIP disabling players which leaves it useless and will never recover from first weekends initial damage. I want to see VOIP work, not ruined due to something simple but important being left out.

NOT dig at you, just a poignant quotation, it pertains to certain other people.

Let me begin to tell you all the levels of how much I cant stand what you did to the banshee making it s completely useless mech. Low mounted PPC. Not even ERPPCs. Nerfed the heat mod on the 3M.

I spent millions getting all 3 mechs and was stoked to get all my weapon mods for cheap! THEN YOU GO AND CHANGE THEM. Completely nerfed 2 of the builds. Left the 3x AC5 build and ruined the 3S and 3M. Completely trashed you the mech. Thank you.

Joys of this terrible patch. Oh... yah... btw... Voip... Terrible quality but at least we can yell at the pugs...

*very slow clap*... I should go play a nova. Id be just as useful. Well played PGI. Well played.
