Anyone Happy With Enforcer Or Panther?

My Vindi 1R is running 1 PPC and 4 MPLasers (similar to a Panther build in the preview), and my Vindi 1AA is running 2 PPCs which we know many are going to run the Panther with 2 ERPPCs (including myself).
Bummer, either my Vindicators will suffer or my Panthers will suffer. Oh well I guess *shrug*.

I see what your getting at, but removing the armor in that arm is the way to go IMO.
I'd agree with you in something heavier (mediums and up), but for a light, it's speed should make up for a lack of shield arm armor.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the Enforcer. I see potential in using mixed laser/ballistic builds, especially MPL for the 5D. Even pre-basics it's nicely mobile with a XL280, and a couple JJ get it around well.
I'm a little worried by the lack of hardpoints on the Panther 10K. 2xERPPC is too hot (may be better once properly elited) and I couldn't find a good replacement for it. Perhaps 2xMPL, 2xSRM4 might work, but this mech is looking like it's in trouble.

The Awesome which had the same quirks, with 10 TrueDubs(which his build doesn't) while only being Basic'ed had, I believe, a 45% heat spike.
Quite toasty.
So you may fire them both once? Twice if you dont jump....
Too hot.

That doesn't seem like enough ammo to me. I'll try it, but I feel it needs a minimum of 500 rounds.

I could see maybe 1 ERPPC and a SRM. Also, maybe 1LPLaser and 1MLaser with a SRM.
I can see where it might get tricky though. I think keeping an ERPPC in the mix would be the best idea.

I agree that the speed will help, but when fighting lights, people tend to go for the legs and cripple them. A side torso is far easier to hit on a light than the legs imo and by having nothing protecting the side torso with an XL, is a near instant death. Mind you, I never really play optimum builds. I'm stoked to play with mine, but I know that I'll be aiming for the torso instead of legs on these builds.

How about this instead? Faster and more heat efficient.
Build
I would personally macro the 3xAC2s to fire in continuous dakka mode, but I'm sure it'll run hot.

Havent tried the enforcer yet but I think the hardpoints look ok. - but it looks like trash so I will probably let it gather dust once it's levelled.

Not from the pics I've seen. Its bigger than a Commando, but its about as tall as a Jenner. It is also shorter than the Cicada by a descent enough amount (which is the smallest medium).
I still think most people go for the legs on lights anyway. In anycase, do what you are comfortable with of course, but I just wouldn't worry as much about the arms myself.

I tried it and agree. I don't have it basiced or elited yet, but it jumps about 45% when you fire both at the same time. Once mastered it will be under 40% per shot, but that still means you can only doublefire around 3 times (slower than max cooldown) before overheating.
The problem is that it won't do damage fast enough to make sense. It needs some kind of cooler backup weapon in case it gets caught by... anything at close range. Firestarters will be eating these poor things up in the next week, no question.
