So, played a few games now. Enforcer is better than expected, except that idiotic one with the 4 ballistic/1 energy slot

Panther rides that line between outright terrible and middlingly bad

Funny how all mechs released to date are DOA at the moment they are being patched in....

... and yet they never are once they are actually being piloted.

I think that will be the consensus. The 4R would be a great mech if it weren't for that 260 engine cap. I had a 3xERLL build ready that could rival the SHD-2K, but then I realized that it had that silly limit.

Please lift the 4R's engine cap to at least 300!

Panther-10K is a fun Assault escort and anti-missile screen. It's a nimble little mech right out the box.

I laugh when I see the "inbound missile" alert. I've yet to see a missile impact in my vicinity :D

They really kicked the primary Panther PNT-9R right in the jimmy.

First it doesn't get the 30% C-bill boost it is supposed to have, from being the primary variant.
Second, its quirks are really subpar compared to the other two,
For some reason being the "one that carries old fashioned PPCs" means it gets 10% lower buffs across the board, and a random beam duration thrown in.

I guess it is either a 10K with 2xERPPC, or a 8Z with 3xLL

Give this 4R a try.
Its will benefit from the generic ballistic buffs, and the lasers it uses are pretty cold.

Very very happy with the Enforcer!
Only a couple of matches, but 500 and 532 dmg, and it seems to tank even with xl.

Anyone noticed that great high mounted energy hardpoint? Perfect for a ppc, imo.

It has maneuverability, poptart enough.

I like.

The beam duration quirk is maddening. Should have gone to better heat efficiency for the PPCs

Welcome to clan country. Clan's have even worse lights (slower) and mostly just crap mechs except the SC and TW.

Sucks don't it.

Hm...except the speed really isn't an issue. The really limited hardpoints, on the other hand, and no light weight clan weapons to slap in them... yup, my heart bleeds for the Clans.

those are both horribad builds that overheat really fast.

I can believe that about the ERPPC even with heat quirks, but the 3xLL? I used to run that on my Cicada, and with the ghost heat for LL increased to 3 and a built-in 25% reduction I would have thought 3xLL would be cool runnings.
