You are aware that aloooot of mechs have almost identical stock layout?
I'm aware, that's why I said "more stock based quirk loadouts" and not all mechs mechs should get stock based loadouts.
Adhering closer to stock intentintent on some chassis is ok (especially when the mech was so clearly designed to carry a specific load out).
A good example is the Catapult K2 with high mount energy arms modeled with PPC barrels from the start. It received no PPC quirks and instead ballistic quirks. Why??? There was no reason the K2 should have recieved ballistic quirks vs PPC quirks.
Now it has mediocre PPC quirks, which is what I was getting at. I think more mechd should get more stock orientated quirks (like the PPCs on the K2), but make them good (which unfortunately the K2 did not get).
You can have variation from stock intent for variety, but many mechs just scream out for a specific quirk set (hence why they were originally designed a certain way to begin with).
That's all I'm trying to say.
