Marik Attack On Athenry

That's okay. You make your own priorities.
They've had opportunities to work with other factions on goals of mutual benefit.
Their stance has been, consistently, 'Eff you, we'll do what serves us best, but thanks for all your help.'
Okay. Well, how is anyone anywhere surprised by this? Marik went all in on protecting Terra from the Clans. This is the best way to do that. Protecting Terra from the Clans is not a Kurita priority, that doesn't mean it isn't one for Marik.
Plus, well, nobody likes an a-hole. Problem with being obnoxious is that there really isn't a reason for someone to NOT punch you.

Oh no, not the horrible consequence of being allowed to farm another faction of incompetent garbagemen.
Thanks for the cbills, friends.

Conflict hot enough that Kuritan civilians are using it to supplement their traditional charcoal.
This calls for a favored classic Terran band to provide background music. May it inspire.

And they mewl about how we're hurting Davion? Davion? Who had walked up to Kurita talking smack and big threats when the DC retook some planets? The same Davion whose previous "defense" of Kuritan worlds would make the base turrets feel important?
What's next, is Liao going to try to declare war because Samurai Hanse Davion likes his own posts?

Couple weeks and Marik will be rolling Kurita back daily and Kurita will start to have internal issues.
Taking bets.
idk man. Remnant and NS have already beaten the e-**** out of each other on these boards and we're right back to dropping together and eating Marik and Davion units while watching Battletech cartoon mashups on youtube.
Kurita has some of the thickest skin in the Inner Sphere. Anyone who didn't quit after 2 months of getting their **** kicked in by everyone with a DC border isn't likely to leave for anything else.
Edit:

I am fully capable of sitting here shitposting while kicking Marik's ass. The same is true for all the NKVA guys in group with me. It doesn't take all that much concentration to roll over purple birds spoiled by beating on nothing but the Fedcom and Clan Pugs.

Ikka speaks as though we had some kind of alliance we broke, but there was never an alliance. That implies a two-way relationship, and yet, Kurita has never done a single, solitary thing for us, and has taken advantage of everything we've given them by using it to strike back at our allies.
Uh hello?? We allowed Marik to gain sizable territory in Kurita space in an attempt to tunnel toward the clans. Have you guys forgotten this already? We had an agreement in place and Kurita trusted Marik to be an ally.
Marik struck first tonight and is getting their teeth kicked in for it.
Marik just suddenly decided it wanted to be allies with Davion and wanted Kurita to come along? Marik was not complaining when they were joining us to gang up against Davion. We have always been upfront in our battle with Davion, Marik is trying to stab us in the back here and is getting what they deserve.

You have to actually win in order to take that many planets though. That might be hard.

Seriously, good luck with this one. Your next one gets to be 'we win all our drops but still lose because we are outnumbered. We only lose due to ghost drops'.

Marik will get better. Davion is a chewtoy because there are not any 12mans currently in Davion. It's essentially all pugs pug-dropping. There are some very, very good pilots in Davion - they're just spread out. Same reason 6 2mans vs 1 12man is a one-sided match in the Group Queue.
Marik though is a lot of 12mans and some of their best mercs are, for the moment, out of town. Marik will get steadily better and their numbers won't change.
I have no doubt NS and some of the old guard will stay in Kurita no matter what.
The rest? Mercs will go where they see the best opportunity. Some units will fall apart. Kurita won't be posting 100 people a night and it'll get devoured.

When we landed that planet due to the algorithm glitch, your faction effectively didn't exist. Until very, very, very recently you'd have been able to do absolutely, positively nothing to stop us, and at no point have you entered a position where you have the forces to stop us long term and deal with the Clans beating on you.
No, our asking your permission in the first place, back when you scarcely existed as a fighting force was, yet again, charity by us.

AW, RRB, HHOD, we regularly beat on your 12 mans, and yes you do have them. Stop using lrms.

No, the algorithm didn't work to that effect, but that's neither here nor there, because there was nothing forcing us to even put that offer on the table.
You have done nothing for us. You have done nothing in regards to us except take advantage at every step of the way.
