I pretty much always play with arm lock enabled, it's just easier for my skirmisher(read: getting you ass shot off) playstyle.
I've found "counter-turning" using my mouse to help with overshooting my target, but it's still a real hassle. It feels like you're going from driving a compact car to driving a large truck, it feels sluggish and imprecise.

just played a couple games with 2 diff SCR's - they both just went into an unending stationary circle no matter what throttle i was at. quit game then rejoined - seemed like the mech kept circling while i was gone and didn't fix the problem

Now its fine.... Unless I'm in any of my medium mechs, (I only have IS mechs).
Regardless of armlock, all is well until I hit "F" to center torso and suddenly I'm disco Stu!
Oddly my lights/heavies don't suffer this issue.
Not tried assaults yet though.

I use centre legs to torso A LOT, its the way I ""steer",
Now I just go into a spin (seems to be in full reverse, full right on the reticule and spinning.)
I can hit [C] Centre torso to legs, and it corrects itself. Also doesnt do it in 3rd person POV.
I hope this gets fixed as the spinning is unaplayable, and the werid loosness that I find now with torso movement is not good.
ruined my MWO for this evening after being away for a few days or more.

When trying to aim up or down carefully the mechs barely move unless your rapid with the mouse meaning you then need to overcorrect.
