I am going to pass

I completely agree that developers should absolutely positively be paid for their work, I do not pirate anything, I do use open source software to my hearts content and yes I know that this is NOT open source.
I don't like the model, I have not seen anything beyond artwork, I have had forum posts deleted for being excited about playing (political correctness has come to forums), I will have to pay for gamer bandwidth, big time hardware to be competitive, which I don't mind, I'll have to buy mechs to try them, I dont know the load outs, I dont know about repairs or spawns or spawn points but I do know that a bunch of people are going to have a FOREVER advantage because they did pay.
So keep it Piranha, Legendary, Elite and Veterans, that have never played, keep it, I'm just pissed that I invested this much time already. So delete me, whatever.....
This is not MW5, good luck but I have better things to do...

Ehm... again - why exactly won't you wait until it's released and judge after you have actually played the game?

The "FOREVER" advantage, eh? While it is true that MWO will be judged by the product they release and update in the coming years, with the current proposed game, the advantage from paying only determines one's speed at which they progress through the content, and the advantage they get will only determine the options they have for the battlefield, but the rest will be determined by the skill of the player. And frankly, with sufficient time, a non-paying player will be on even par, the only difference being that one has a larger c-bill account balance than the other. Now stop your pity party about "Boo Hoo, I can't stand the fact that those paying money will actually consume content faster". We've had enough of that crap on the forums.

Let's see, according to your profile, you've been a member here since April, and you've made a total of 14 posts? My oh my, you've just invested "so much time", and you've posted sooooo much around here, that all your efforts of whining about how unconvinced you are about this game have gone to complete waste. Thanks for the self-serving post to cap off your days here. Now leave. Proper debate on the facts presented are wanted, your senseless whining isn't. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

WoW = $15 a month (which comes out to $180 per year - rough math)
MWO, you can pay $120 to start yourself off, which comes out to $10 a month (assuming you don't spend more during 1 year). AND, not to mention, you don't have to pay 1 cent if you don't want to.
Which one do you think offers better value over the course of 1 year?
That's my take on it and that's why I went for the Legendary Package. But PGI never twisted my arm telling me I was forced to pay. I chose to do it to support the devs.

Or... well they haven't announced any details yet so... hm. That must be a hard question for you to answer, I'll let you be. but don't worry, I'm sure you'll find some reason to make yourself angry, just keep at it!

Your decision is at best misinformed and illogical.
