I don't like the model, I have not seen anything beyond artwork, I have had forum posts deleted for being excited about playing (political correctness has come to forums), I will have to pay for gamer bandwidth, big time hardware to be competitive, which I don't mind, I'll have to buy mechs to try them, I dont know the load outs, I dont know about repairs or spawns or spawn points but I do know that a bunch of people are going to have a FOREVER advantage because they did pay.

So keep it Piranha, Legendary, Elite and Veterans, that have never played, keep it, I'm just pissed that I invested this much time already. So delete me, whatever.....

This is not MW5, good luck but I have better things to do...

I wouldn't let that stop you playing. I have no intention of spending money on the game, bought the Elite package during a weak moment because I would of paid to buy the game anyway if it was not F2P but will not be subscribing and would not be playing if had to subscribe. Saying that I have not liked what I have seen of F2P setups so far.

Hmm... . I tried finding a Mechwarrior themed facepalm pic to post for this thread but couldn't find any. Doesn't help much that a lot of the mechs don't have proper hands, or even flexible enough elbow and shoulder joints I guess.

He is in bad mood because of the high expectations he has and the high doubts that grow when thinking about how a f2p game can be ruined.
Anyway, it's not the right time for such a posting and OP should admit he made an error and pretend to be drunk

Wait for the game to be released and see for yourself how well you can compete against paying people.
The experience boost can be compensated: a) play more play until the other one reaches the highest level or the curve becomes tighter

If you can't compete against a player with real money then the game is indeed lost but for now there is no proof for one of both options.
So just wait until you have played for a while.

And do not try to make us believe you will not even try it, as if anyone would believe that if you waited for years :>

This is the first I heard that someone was thinking this was supposed to be MW5. You are certainly in the wrong place, my friend. Think of this as a successor to Multiplayer BattleTech: Solaris. And if you ever had the chance of playing that nearly 20 years ago, you'll see why this game will have great potential.

Not defending the OP, but when this was announced back in 2008 it was never stated it was a free to play online only game. It was assumed by most that it was going to be Mechwarrior 5 circa 3015. Then Harmony Gold raised the C&D hammer over the unseen and it was later announced to be f2p onlne based on the clan wars. Personally, I would have preferred a single player game, but I'm not going lose sweat on my balls over it. Hell, I may even play this game.

From reading through your posts you continually make references to a $10 subscription fee you have to pay to play.

The game is completely free in every way. You do NOT have to pay real money for the client. You do NOT have to pay real money for access, you do NOT have to pay real money for mechs or equipment. Everything you can buy with $$$ you can buy with the currency you earn in the game. The only thing that the founder's bought with their money was early access on 7/7 and an ugly paint job.

It seems to me that you made a very angry post from a lot of very incorrect assumptions.
