what really gets me is 90% of the ppl responding are Legendary Founders lol. Cracks me up. Someones gotta pay for the server upkeep for the free players. Dont hate US cus were paying the bills for YOU to play free. And geebus man try the game before you bash it, mmmkay?

Just like life man. Those that can pay, pay for those that can't, won't, wouldn't or just straight don't. On the upside, by subsiding them we do get to blow holes in them. Now if only life worked like that!

This is gonna be great, frankly I've just been enjoying playing Forum Warrior Online.

For that alone I was happy to pay for Elite (what I budgeted anyway) if the game is any good and keeps being upgraded and improved I'm sure a few more $$$ will be exchanged. But TBH if they stick to their model and I stay skint I'll be happy enough playing this as F2P so long as noone gets a real advantage in the game.

I hear that they are going to release premium forum tags for $5 a month and those will give you 50% increased post counts and 25% increased likes! I'm so excited! :P

Look at it this way:

WoW = $15 a month (which comes out to $180 per year - rough math)

MWO, you can pay $120 to start yourself off, which comes out to $10 a month (assuming you don't spend more during 1 year). AND, not to mention, you don't have to pay 1 cent if you don't want to.

Which one do you think offers better value over the course of 1 year?

That's my take on it and that's why I went for the Legendary Package. But PGI never twisted my arm telling me I was forced to pay. I chose to do it to support the devs.

Oh your so wrong mate, they twisted my arm so bad it is completly out of joint, they actually came into my computer to force me to spend my money on something I have been waiting for since I started playing Battletech Table Top, it is not fair to be so cruel and force me to spend my money on something that I like, I would much rather spend it on stuff that I hate.............. errr no, I may be 120$ poorer but in my heart I am 12000$ richer.

I bought Legendary pack to invest into game, to help devs to improve the game further.
And i will pay for Premium Account to keep the game running. If it will be as good as i expect :P

Little known facts about the Founder's package :

- If you don't buy it, Paul comes to your house and kills your family
- If you buy veteran, you have untill the 7th August to say goodbuy to your family before watching them being cut to pieces.
- If you buy Elite, you get to choose ONE member of your family that's going to live. The others will be dog food.
- If you buy Legendary, your family is safe !!

So you see, no pressure, no need to buy, you're gonna live no matter what ! \o/

I know I don't have a lot of posts on the forums, but I follow the news feeds and I've seen gameplay footage. It's not hard stuff to find. If the OP is whining because he's too ignorant or lazy to find the media he's looking for, and he hasn't been paying attention enough to know the game is FREE TO PLAY with option paid benefits, then I'm perfectly happy to see him, and anyone else that feels this way, go.

This game needs players who care about the franchise and are going to be good sports, not spoiled cry-babies who either don't have the patience to wait, or think that everything to cater to them individually.

Also, I looked through the OP's forum posts, and of the 14 posts he's made, a good portion of them were whining in one way or another about not getting a beta key...

Feeling entitled much?

Don't worry, guy. We'll have fun blasting stuff to bits without you :)

Wow. An "I quit" post for a free game... that isn't even out yet

yup, new one on me, thought I'd seen it all in various forums. You figure people would wait to actually play a game (for free no less) before crapping on it.

So much wasted time (yes, I'll chim in here) on a meaningless thread. Let's face it. If game (and all things in general) were static and never improved, where would we be? I've played every MW game (sans board) for years and have seen it evolve several times (many, if you could all the vid tweaks). I've enjoyed every one of them and consider it part of the MW evolution. Yes, I was absolutely insane when i saw the MW 5 video and hurt when it went away. Now, I'm insane for the game and have drunk my fill of the Kool Aid. I'm here, playing, and if I WANT TO pay for anything, I'll dang well do it. No need to churn sour grapes here, just don't bother. Folks here love their MWO. Period.
