The cauldron-born is from the 3052 TRO.

And started production in 3049.
(actually, there isn't another XL Engine Clan heavy omnimech in the timeline so that was the only choice possible)

So, today I will see the Cauldron-Born and decide between top tier or lowest tier. (it would be an easier decision if I saw the other 2 mechs' concept arts, but well...)

How do the faction packs work? For example, if I get two CGB packs and one CJF and one CW pack I get the patterns from all of those perma unlocked on all my wave three mechs? Its not per chassis? I know the colors are applicable to all mechs just like normal colors, and I get one set of cockpit items per pack. Please help me understand this.

Ovion's Handy Guide to:
How Camo and Colours work:
Camo Specs
Camo Patterns come in 3 flavours - Unlock, One-Shot and Unique.
Unlocks are a permament unlock for that Chasis. You can change the pattern and colours as often as you like.
They are pricey though, running you either 750 MC for a 'standard' pattern and 1250 MC for a 'premium' pattern.

One-Shot camos are one-use patterns. You can change the Colours as often as you like, but if you change the pattern, you lose the One-Shot.
They're great if you don't intend to change the pattern around.
The bonus of this is they cost 1/10th that of an Unlock, at 75MC a 'standard' pattern and 125MC a 'premium' pattern.

Unique patterns are limited to Heroes and Unique Geometry mechs.
You can change the Colours as much as you like, but can never change the Camo Spec.
Additionally, certain colour panels may be locked on Unique patterns.

So if you only want to do 3 mechs, and leave them at that single pattern forever, then One-Shots are the way to go for you!
You can even have 3 different patterns if you want.

There have been Camo sales in the past (normally 50% off), so you could always wait for one of those, but I generally recommend one-shots.
If it's on sale and there's 2 Camo's you'll regularly want on one chasis (or 5+ mechs you want it on), then go unlock.
Example -
I have bought One-Shot Camo Specs for each of my 3 Spiders, 3 Catapults, and one Cicada (Phranken), 1 for my 4th (Urbie)Spider (Sherman), and 1 for my Dire Wolf B (Snowfall).
That's 9 mechs with Camo, for less than the cost of 1 unlock.
I'm considering buying one-shots for a couple more of my mechs, like my Jaegers, new Cicada and Ravens.
I don't really want to change any of these, mostly because the others are sort of pants on those mechs (in my opinion) so it works out MASSIVELY cheaper.

I've also bought the Phranken Unlock for my locusts when it was on sale, as I have 5 of them and at that point it cost the same as getting the One-Shots.
I also want Hotrod and standard on my locusts at a whim, so this works out better.
I'm just waiting for Hotrod to be on sale on Locusts, then I'll buy the unlock.

While I understand that Camo can be seen as expensive, and it can seem annoying or cash grabby for it to be per chasis, please understand that each Camo Spec must be made specially for each chasis, taking time and money and there is a reason they've done it this way.

Colours
Colours come in 3 flavours - Basic, Standard and Premium.
All colours are a universale unlock - purchase once, and that colour is permamantly available for all your mechs.
Basic Colours are the 5 free colours in the game.
You get Basic Green by default, and the remaining 4 are available for 1.25million C-Bills each.
They're actually not bad, I think the Red is nicer than most of the Premium Reds too.
Especially good as a Block colour, or highlight.
As modeled by the lovely Locust below:
Spoiler

Standard Colours are generally, just a straight shade really.
These cost 500MC and come in a wide range.

Premimum Colours are either more desirable (i.e. - pure black and white), or specifically linked to particular Premium Camos (i.e. - the colours that are 'meant' to go with the scheme).
These cost 1000MC and come in a wide range of slightly nicer shades.

Ultimately, I recommend never buying any colours apart from Basic, unless it's 50% off.
Additionally, Camo shades are a fantastic range of matte Standard colours, so 250MC on sale.
I've got 1/3 to half of the Camo colours and tend to buy more each time they go on sale.

It is per chassis. If you choose two ghost bear, a jade falcon, and a wolf package you will have those patterns unlocked on every Arctic Cheetah, Shadow Cat, Cauldron-Born, and Executioner you ever purchase. Even if there are new variants released later that you purchase you will still have those patterns unlocked on those new variants.

What I mean is do I get the camos on EVERY wave three mech? Ex. I get two CGB packs and I either have two mechs, ex scat and CB, and I get the camos ONLY on those mechs, not the AC and exe. Or would if I get one CGB packs I get the pattern unlocked for ALL w3 mechs.

You can use the pattern as often as u want. Nopt on the prime......

Getting more than one time the same faction pack is just giving you more of the same warhorns.
Pattern and Colors don t care how often you have em.

If you get the Shadow Cat and Cauldron-Born you'd be getting the Arctic Cheetah, too, since it's the first package mech, but that's not what you asked. Unless you purchase a la carte, which doesn't come with faction content.

You get the patterns for the mechs you purchase. So if you only get the first tier you'd only get one pattern for the Arctic Cheetah, if you get the second tier you get up to two patterns for the Arctic Cheetah and Shadow Cat, third tier 3 patterns for 3 chassis, fourth tier 4 patterns for 4 chassis. If you only purchase the Shadow Cat tier and then purchase Cauldron-Borns and Executioners later for C-Bills you will not receive the camo patterns for those mechs. I assumed since you mentioned 4 content pack choices you were going for the Executioner tier anyways which would give you the patterns for all four wave three mechs.

You will be able to apply the Faction Patterns to the Early Adopter Variants.

When will these Faction Patterns be available for Wave 1?

The Cauldron Born looks better than expected. Well done.

Super simple question: I buy exe. Pack, I get four faction pack, 2 CGB 1 CJF 1 CW and I get to select which chassis to put the patterns on?

... those legs looks way too straight. Same problem as the Mad Dog, they need to be bent significantly more to get that iconic posture.

If you got the top tier bundle which comes with four faction packs and chose 2 CGB, 1 CJF, and 1 CW you get:

The camo for those 3 factions. Which you can use on all of your Wave 3 mechs. You can switch the camo on those mechs whenever you want. You could have them all GB, or Falcon, or some mix, or whatever. And you can change the camo on any of the Wave 3 mechs to any of the three available camos whenever you want. (Minus the Prime variant mechs, as the camo can't be changed on those.)

You also get the cockpit items and colors for the three factions you chose, but get double of the CBG cockpit items as you chose that faction twice. The colors, and cockpit items can be used on any mechs you own.

I got all four factions with Wave 2, so I'd get access to all the colors, and could use any of the four camo patterns on those Wave 2 mechs. The only reason to get a faction more than once would be to get more of that faction's cockpit items.

All chassis get the pattern unlocked, you can pick one of each faction. Prime(I) cannot change camo. The three other variants of all 4 mechs will all get the camo.

its better to get 1 camo of each faction, because you can equip any of those 4 on any of the waves mech, minus the prime. so having 2 CGB wont mean anything because u can already equip it on any of the other chassis in that wave anyways.
