It's got a lot less bulk than I thought it would from the original art! But, I see that was a perspective illusion, now The model is very close to the art.
Those SRM2 barrels are surprisingly long though... it almost looks like.... ZOMG! That's the UAC/20 on the EBJ-A! It's lasers, and it's AC are that high?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oh god, this mech is going to be SOOOOOO sweet <3
Wait... that model shows a Gauss Rifle, a UAC/20, and an LB-5X all on the same machine... *does math* Technically possible, I suppose... just... one ton of ammo for each pretty much, and no armor. (clearly just a tech demo, but still)

I think the increase in laser duration quirk sucks, though. The Clans lasers are already just awful for how long they take to do their magic. I think decreasing the burst duration on the A/Cs would have helped diversify the field in a more fun way. Clanners take lasers, cuz that's really the only viable weapon, aside from Gauss. But, time will tell I suppose... I'll be switching over to the clans as soon as Wave III hits next month. :3 (Actually, I'll probably switch right after I finish hitting this next rank, and get another mechbay )
I'm alright with the nerf to the 4N. It wasn't like... totally OP. But, it was perhaps a little above where it should be. And the modest decrease in buffs, I suspect, will bring it in line.

I have my own updated sheet with c-bill breakdowns/predictions that have been accurate to the c-bill in some cases. Really shows where some glaring inaccuracies are compared to the established pattern that have not been addressed.

The IS never produced better tech... (different tech, like Heavy/Light gauss, but never just outright better) They rofl-stomped the Clans because they waged war on them. No holds barred, slash and burn warfare. The Clans rigid code of conduct was all about reducing waste. As such, this insulated them from many of the aspects of war as we know it today. The IS, meanwhile, had huge masses of resources. Far more industry and raw materials. Plus, they came together, and pooled all of these resources. Something the Clans would never do.
So when Operation Bulldog, (and Taskforce Serpent) hit the Jaguars, they attacked EVERYTHING. Facilities and materials that, in clan warfare, would have been left untouched and ceeded to the victor.
Real warfare is significantly different from the way the Clans do battle. Their rigid adherence to it left them unable to adapt, and they were simply decimated.
