4x either kill, assist or spotting assist + Win = TEAMWORK WIN 1 Point
1x Kill + Over 200 damage + Defeat = VALIANT DEFAEAT 1 Point
Keep the high point requirement if you must, but don't encourage poor play.

No matter what PGI does, it'll always be a bit of a nut show out there due to the variety of players.
Ya just have to accept that and go with the flow.
And....It's a game.
I'm looking forward to getting home to get in some time playing.

At least you dropped the win condition but I wish you would consider what these do to gameplay. Two matches in and its suicide city making the matches just stupid.
Still, you did change it so I just bought a package.

Last event I had the time and looking at my result, I needed less matches for scoring 25 matches with the win than 50 (wtf seriously) games without a win. The system is only good for people with time and totally ignores anyone who doesn't want to spend a lot of hours per weekend playing. Please make it kill or most damage dealt or go back to a point system with equal points for kills and assists, there were a lot of good suggestions lately.
OR
Make it a "challenge", give players with less time also the possibility to earn a mech. For example you get a maximum of 1 point for each of the following:
- 1 Headshot
- Destroy 5 components and do a solo kill
- 2000 Damage with each weapon type (Ballistics, Missiles, Energy)
- Win 20 matches and get at least 30 match points per game
And with 1 point you get the Premium Time, 2 points mech, 3 points color, 4 points item.
The criteria for points were just the first things coming to my mind, the idea behind it is that most players can at least earn the mech.
The players with less time (and a certain level of skill) can go for the first two criteria, the players with time can go for the last two criteria. And the ones with skill and time go for all four of them.
For me this is the most fair way to give a lot of the players the possibility to earn the mech.

Every. Freaking. Time.
I am telling you, everyone thinks the "Win" condition was the problem, but I maintain...it is the "Kill" condition, that transforms everyone into Rage Buffoons that shoot at every smudge on their monitor screen.
Please. Win + 4-6 (or more) Kills/Assists in any combination = 1 Point on the next one? Can we just try it? And see if it encourages people to work together and play like an actual win matters?
And for this time around, everyone participating in this challenge. Please stop trying to shoot THROUGH your teammates. It will make the game more fun for everyone, whether they are working on the challenge or not.

How we go from the joyous grad bag event to these soul suckingly unfun kill events, I do not understand.
Really don't like this tweet from Russ, either:

Let's see how the event goes - if people spoil it we can stop giving away mechs and nice things
Way to blame the complaining players for the terrible format. Instead of coming up with something better, we should just stop having giveaways?

I agree on this 90%. The only addition to that is to apply the same rule as mech XP. If that mech was not used, you shouldn't get a point for it. As well each mech that 'is used' must have an assist and a kill in order to recieve the points.
Aside from that, hell yes this would really help in bringing more ppl into CW.

Any upcoming challenge built for CW? Encourage people to play it. Maybe a Tukayyid event? Or a defend the FRR event?

We know that when winning the match is a condition to earn points for an event, players often become frustrated because their success is dependent on the team (this IS a team game, but fair enough) rather than their own performance.
We know that when the only requirement is a kill and a assist, players are openly stating their intention to suicide/disconnect once they've achieved the requirement.
We know that players are also a little unhappy at the thought of playing a minimum of 50 matches to receive the primary reward.
--
So, as others have suggested, perhaps have the ability to earn more than one point per match, with an element of skill involved, might be a better approach for events. This could be simply based off match score, with something like:
50 match score = 1 point
75 match score = 2 points
100 match score = 3 points
125 match score = 5 points. (values tweakable of course)
or if there's a good reason not to use match score, a series of thresholds, say:
1 or more kills: 1 point
5 or more kills: 2 (more) points
6 or more assists: 1 point
500 or more damage: 1 point
800 or more damage: 2 (more) points
win the match: 1 point
That way you could grind out the reward you needed with perseverance, but the more skillfully you play, the faster you can complete the event, and hopefully the various different mechanisms to get a point in a given game should make people play a bit more "normally".
edited to add:
examples for the second mechanism, in case it's not clear
Player 1: 1 kill, 4 assists, 550 damage, match NOT won = 1+1 = 2 points
Player 2: 5 kills, 3 assists. 825 damage, match NOT won (poor devil) = 1 (for one kill) + 2 (for 5 kills) + 1 (for 500dmg) + 2 (for 800dmg) = 6 points.
