I am hoping they go back to "Get a score of 80 or higher, get one point".

While match score would be considerably better than these other scoring systems, the end result is they're wanting the challenges to take longer. Putting in useless levels like "free 80k of consumables!" is basically just pushing the bar farther away. Even at "score 80 points" it would still take a lot of games

Two games in a row, 5 assists most damage dealt. no point. Earlier tonight I got four kills but no assists. Clearly I was credit to team, not enough to get a point apparently.

Let's see how the event goes - if people spoil it we can stop giving away mechs and nice things

Way to blame the complaining players for the terrible format. Instead of coming up with something better, we should just stop having giveaways?

Wait, what? WTF is this!?

The scoring on this event is MUCH better than last weeks, but why does this one have to be so much longer as a trade off???

This ^

Bad decision in my opinion too. Polygon camo and the cockpit item were items that were bundled with the overly expensive clan packages. Now, they are handed for free, punishing the recent buyers (that would prefer something else) and giving benefit to non-buyers. It doesn't make sense...

Bumping this as I'm in this boat and agree 110%

I kind of wish they would limit the challenges to at least 1 or 2 a month and switch it up a bit I wouldn't mind the win/ 1 kill/ 1 assist. if it were once in a while not every event challenge. try a stock mech challenge.
Test out other combinations of point systems and offer BONUS POINTS.
See what works well for your players. make week events not just weekend.
If I were 20 or even 10 years younger I would be telling every one to quit crying, only because I would have weekends off and have anything better to do.
I don't want to see this game become the same repetitive nonsense where you drop on the same old maps with the same old mechs running the same old tactics
Sadly it's already like that. events are really the only thing to look forward to because you get something for the grind. not just XP or Cbills.

Idk about the camo, but isn't having multiple cockpit items good? Even more so if it's free? That way you wouldn't have to switch stuff around your mechs. I know i don't, too lazy to do so

Sure having more cockpit items is great, but how would you feel if you spent $200+ dollars on a clan pack to have it some of it given away for free?

Technically, it's 3 days.

Exactly! And I don't see the reason for the consumables prizes...it just seems to make this challenge unnecessarily longer...

Not that I'm ungrateful for the challenge, but I have to stay up till all god-awful hours of the morning trying to get just the Adder because I got home from work super-late tonight...lucky enough I have off tomorrow...but this looks like me trying to get 40+ points in a single day...

Just seems like way too many points...

Correction: 45 points tomorrow. It's 0126...Adder tonight is not happening...

58 matches Played. 17 Qualifying. And so far, I've only seen one match where anyone asked "Who needs a kill?".

It's mostly just been an elbow shoving free-for-all, with several people walking away with 4-5 kills even when the team was already up considerably. Now, I understand that, when you're in danger of losing a match and it's "carry time" (not that that matters in this format anyway), but when you're up, to not check fire, or shoot to disable, seems poor form really.

To the Davion KGC pilot (who was the great sport I mentioned earlier), well done man. He said it multiple times, "We're all on the same team, we've got to look out for each other".

Only 180 matches to go at my current rate of success. Hey, who needs to eat/sleep/shower/talk to or even look at their wife and kids at all anyway? ;)

I feel like PGI is punishing me for blowing all my Cadet C-bills on Kit Foxes and a Summoner. :P

BUMPED - then again what's surprising? PGI punishing those who's paid for their expensive Clan packs then giving them away for free piece by piece, bit by bit.

Guys tell me - was "to the victors" fun? Was it more challenging as well as more comfortable to play? IMHo it was! So why change things that already works fine?..
Other way to make a scoring - one kill+one assist=point. You got 2 kills and 3 assists (for example)? Get two points in one match. No groups, only solo. So you can manage to get 12 kills and 12 assists in PUGed CW match that lasts 3-4 times longer then ffa-game? Great, you deserve those 12 pts.

P.S. PGi, you have doing great thing - that called "mounth roadmap". All players will say "THANKS A LOT" if you will manage to add upcoming events in roadmap so we can prepare us - free weekends etc.

Are there non-event weekends anymore? A time when people with jobs can play the game without the event tryhards everywhere?

Oh yeah, you really deserve those points when you can manage to pull off 12 kills and 12 assists against an enemy team of 12 - in one match even! That would be... astonishing!

Its about CW man...

P.S. rewards IMHo need to be a bit changed too - those packs of consumables would be better swaped to just c-bills...

The only worthwhile thing to get is the premium...but then it's just for more cbills...Um why does that really matter at all in this game for a mech? Nothing more? Where is the rest of the game?

Also why must all the so called free mechs be crappy ones? Why not a heavy or assault mech for a change?

What do you think about the idea that you could get your own kills?
