I finished this event with that blue color. But it was hard like hell cose instant crashes cose Nvidia :(

119 matches for 61 point . . . . event was OK but that crashes NOT, its insane!

Just saying something about the time amount to complete this challange
it took me 138 games to get the 51 points and i had alot of games with 8+ assists...
avarage 7 minutes per game would make 16 hours

This challange on a weekend as a father who had to work on sunday and just the possibility to play from 10pm to maybe2 am was very hard.

Why was it hard ? because i just want to be a usefull team member and do stuff the team needs and not stuff the challenge would need to be completed fast.

So you spend alot of time and maybee u go out with no point of a game alot of assists scouting spoting and dmg done but still no point... this is kinda unfair but ok...

if you realy want to complete this fast you simply mount 6 erppcs hurt several ppl for the secure assist and then go all in bam 6 erppc in your face
Oh wait you are not dead? ok
overide spamm another alpha in your face and then die because of heat
Nothing done for the game nothing done for your team but a easy point in 3 minutes achived... i mean WTF stupid point system

80 matches qualified
49 matches not

not gonna do that again ever. 50 was bad, i just remembered how much i enjoyed my light piloting so grinded 30 or so with my raven. many a kill got "stolen" but it got done

I also got several mid-game straight to desktop crashes, particularly last night, and with AMD card...

I only made 42... so I'm not getting the damn Adder, because I have a life. I still dropped WAY too much damn time on this. I probably went 100 matches to get my 42 points, if not more. I'm not the best player, I admit. But this was just bullsh*t, and the Raven one was worse.

However that was 2 weekend matches that I've actually felt pretty cheated on. I worked my ass off for both, got nothing.

I was going to buy a Clan Wave 3 Mech... f*ck that. I feel like I wasted my time, my effort, and now I feel worse than if I had done nothing at all. PGI better find some creative way to run weekend events that do not leave me feeling like I want to uninstall the game. I've been around since the beginning, I've enjoye this game, but these endless grinds are starting to make me hate it.

I finished those 80 points thingy... Although this has been a bit more easier event than the last one (as in "less stressing"), i must say that PGI still hasnt hit that spot... Once again we had to compete (and fight) against our own team for those kills, steal their kills once the enemy they are fighting has no armor at all, and waiting for them to give us an assist, when our prime focus should be fighting against the enemy one...

This probably has been the main reason why so many people have given up from this type of "challenges", its not based on skill or battle performance, its just another "every mechwarrior for himself" grind fest...

So, PGI, if you want people to have fun in this events, just avoid this 1 point per kill/assist/win thing, that forces most people (like me) to bring their LRM boats just to easly farm those points in the fastest way possible, leaving others in stress. You could bring back that battle point system like you did with the thunderbolt-9s event if i remember correctly (1 point for reaching 80 match score points or so), i think many would benefit from it.

I gave up at 19 points as the quality of the games was just abysmal, and by 'gave up' I mean I have played other games all weekend not MechWarrior even though that meant 3 days of wasted premium.
On paper these events look great, the reality is quite different.

Just 'playing' 50 games should have been enough to earn the adder, these events are horribly bias towards veteran players when the fact of the matter is that 'new' players would benefit from a free mech far more than those with garages already brimming with metal (and i include myself in this: 55 mechs).

Personally I ignored the challenge and played as usual after taking a look at the requirements. It irks me a bit, not because of the mech which I can buy no problem if I want it but because my list now will have a red x. I'll take a guess that I am not the only compulsive "collector" for lack of a better word.

The fact that I did the Raven grind and felt burned out might have factored in as well.
It is great that PGI does challenges but they should be tiered to a higher degree. Maybe a cockpit item halfway to the mech.

I only did 3 pts from six games on Friday and decided to leave this challenge for the dogs. One of the games on river city resulted in 11-0 before I had even shot at an enemy. Two assaults walked out of D2 into rushing lights and got nailed. Seven circled anti clockwise but not as a pack and got nailed one by by one as they ran into all 12 of the enemy team around d2. Two stayed on the ramps in the centre and were taken out. I stomped in my crab behind the racing pack across the bridge and towards the collapsed roadway and just called out to the enemy team be killed as it was now 11-0 and pointless.

PGI:-

Encourage team work or good play with these challenges.

Team win == 1 pt

or

Match score > X == 1 pt regardless of match win.

So positive contribution to the overall game is encouraged.

These weekend events are getting more and more pathetic, if the idea behind this is to drag in more players and get them buying mech bays for the other two variants, then maybe its worked in the short term, but long term your pissing off your paying customers, and if enough are feeling like me your damaging this games longevity, because I'm not spending a single penny on this platform now, I've put up with the endless delays ,and the incompetent introduction of patches or in CW case just a complete lack of ability to make something interesting, long enough.

Just stop doing the damn things so we can enjoy playing at weekends..

went for the free premium time again. Thus a nice event for me - plus I got to level my Panthers.

Suggestions would be:

Top 4 Players of each team (matchscore) get a Point. Winning Team gets 1 Point each.

or make a bone hunter competition => 1 point per arm/leg destroyed

I wish I didn't play as much as I used to then I'd have more umph and would actually care about the prizes, it's good fun and keeps people coming back so nice job.

One thing, I really do prefer a match score + 1 kill / 1 assist or match score + no kill / 2 assist
(30 was too low? what do I know)

ugh, I felt better about my time until I stoooooooopidly looked at the game(s)/point game stats

116/52??

That means I spent a lot more time on a game this weekend than I had imagined.

edit: ohmahgerd... I just compiled the stats.
I had THREE battles that did not qualify that had kills....of those 3, two I had two kills...NO assists...
Of the 52 battles that qualified, only 23 had single kills. 16 battles were double kills, the rest 3 or more, two battles with 5 kills.

My stone cold killer?
Not the dire, none of the lights, a smattering of scarecrow/timberwolfs,IS mediums?....I guess my go to mech from here on out needs to be the Kintaro??
.96 kills per battle vs. the dire with 1.32? Both just under 400 battles, I'm an average player...never figured an IS mech...a goofy, old school missle boat with a pair of smalls, would be wailing like that.
That garden hose stream of LRM5's just delivers.

well i can understand PGI while they make so long challenges its mostly to combatant smurfaccount pushing.
The easyer a challange to do everyone and there dogs will play it on there mains and then go all out on there alt chars.
which mostly wont result in anyway of a good game more of firestarter wars or afking so the account on the other side can
kill you!

Okay...

It was a grind. I would have preferred if the scoring was based on the points per kill and assist, or the match score. That promotes skill. All the skillful players can finish faster, and once they drop out it'll also be easier for the less skilled players. Win win.

I didn't see too much poor play. A few DCs on purpose, some complaining, etc. But overall not too bad. I did one TK by accident...shot through an atlas and killed the guy on the other side as well as the Atlas. And I received very little FF, which was kind of odd. But good as one of my mechs had tinfoil for armor so I could load more missiles. (ya, sorry about the lerms. Had that mech in my rotation for a while.)
I wasn't too impressed by some of guys who would get 5 or more kills. Ya, some times it just happens. I had 3 or 4 once or twice while trying to legs guys. But I was watching guys running around merrily killing everyone on purpose. Not cool.

Technically I did notice a bit more lag than usual at some points during the weekend. And I discovered that the Adders and Enforcers have the F bug. The Enforcers were fine until they were elited. It'll be awesome once that is fixed. :)
