We definately need one more rule - "teamkill gives you -1 point".

P.S. Got 60-pts reward. Nothing more that i realy need there.

I wasn't too impressed by some of guys who would get 5 or more kills. Ya, some times it just happens. I had 3 or 4 once or twice while trying legs guys. But I was watching guys running around merrily killing everyone on purpose. Not cool.

respectfully- having WON the "Seriously?!", "Liquid Metal", "crap I'm gonna die", "Seriously I'm dead this time" and the "yep, I'm dead for sure" achievements..so long as a mech is shooting? I'm blasting.
I can't count the number of times I've ripped the weapons off a mech and left it for someone else, and equally how many times I've lost a match to a seriously crippled mech....if it moves, it dies.
I'm not trying to steal kills, close the deal or move on, I'm trying to WIN the match
And a number of times this weekend, we called out who needs a kill and someone rushed in, took it, and then I see on the scoreboard they already had one or two kills?

Interesting stats comparison from the last two challenges. Every challenge until I got the 'Mech, which I would consider the main price, so 25 points in Like A Champion and 50 points in Adder Up.

Adder Up Until 'Mech (50 points, 77 Games)
Win 48/77 (62,34%)
Kills 93/77 (1,21 Avg.)
Deaths 45/77 (0,58 Avg.)
Kill Assists 317/77 (4,11 Avg.)
Qualified 50/77 (64,93%)

Interestingly, either my concentration, my determination or the whim of the matchmaker changed after that, because my stats got notably worse for the following matches necessary to reach the 80-point mark.

Adder Up Until Complete (30 additional points, 52 Games)
Win 28/52 (53,84%)
Kills 52/52 (1,00 Avg.)
Deaths 34/52 (0,65 Avg.)
Kill Assists 213/52 (4,10 Avg.)
Qualified 30/52 (57,70%)

And here are my previous challenges' stats:

Like A Champion (46 Games)
Win 32/46 (69,56%)
Kills 74/46 (1,61 Avg.)
Deaths 25/46 (0,54 Avg.)
Kill Assists 204/46 (4,43 Avg.)
Qualified 25/46 (54,34%)

Yes, I was seeing guys (who didn't need it) take mechs that I left, and a few beat-up guys who killed themselves. Even saw an enemy TK because the guy had to leave, so his team killed him to deny us the kill. Just rude. The event is a grind, so why be a douche and make it harder for everyone.

But whatever. I did my part in trying to make it better. That first mech was all or nothing (all is fair in love and war ;) ), but after that it was all arms and legs.
Sadly I can't say that I saw the same consideration more than maybe 3 times....meh, maybe 5 times.

Got lots of C-bills though, and the camo as I didn't get that with my Wave1 mechs. :)

If I could give you mine, I would.
I emailed support two weeks ago asking if I could gift my Pirates Bane in the (new users) forum with some sort of random drawing like I did with mechbays and premium time codes back in December.

No reply. IF they let me, I'll give away the PB, the CenturianAH, and this POS Adder...god...it sucks, LOL

good on ya, after I got my adhder I ran the Kit with ecm, ams and tag and narc...GOD that made serious income, and I gave myself the illusion I was helping.

Their answer will probably be "You can gift using the gift store."

I'd LOVE an extension. :)

The event is fun, but hard to put that much time in when you have work, wife, kids, etc... (minimum 50 matches @ around 10 minutes each = minimum 8.5 hours... not counting the 2-10 minutes between matches spent waiting to get into one)

Dam, I was thinking about running a support mech. But by the end I had forgot. I just did up a different build on the Adder and ran around with it for a few games. Then played Halo(ce) for a bit with the wife.

Well, pgi screwed up with approximation 2ND TIME IN A ROW. It is hard to make 50 1k/1d in such period, especially with crappy mech hangar like mine.

well still you got for sure 3 days worth premium time and free consumables to work on cbills :) not always the jackpot is the nicest thing. I made like 15 mill and more this challange and had decent fun

48 out of 50 points at the end of the challenge. Got family'd throughout the whole weekend and couldn't keep the grind going. Now I just feel like it was a lot of time wasted causing me to hate the developers and this game.

... Also feeling quite used. Knowing full well that these are events meant to drive up player numbers during the weekend. PGI got what it wanted. All I walk away with are worthless consumables and disappointment.

I ended up with 42. I don't use ANY consumables. I would have liked the choice of cbills or the consumables and maybe a mech that I don't own.

I agree on that one. Issuing 250k c-bills, 250k x 2, 250k x 3, etc would've been much more appreciated.

And yes i feel used as well. Then again this IS Mwo, raining champion of "using their player base" in core gaming.

Well, play levels were as bad as every other challenge weekend, but now that wins are out of the equation it didn't feel as frustrating as before when my team went full ****** or cowered behind rocks and buildings. I managed to get the free mech, at least, and stopped at 58 before challenge end. Made a ton of c-Bills and blew it all on a Banshee.

It would, however, be really nice if PGI extended future challenge times throughout weekdays, as it seems many of use can often play very little during the weekend (family, travel etc.)... WITHOUT again increasing challenge requirements. Askign players to play over a hundred games is kind of... ridiculous.

Having no 'win' requirement made the quality of matches so bad ...

The main things I seen are suicide rushes that cause the your team to lose because half the team just died in the first few minutes by runing straight into the enemy team looking for their kill, shot blocking by standing in the way of other people's line of fire, and finally kill stealing.

Why don't you change the format, drop the 'kill' requirement and make it 3 or more assists and a win for a point.

I made 20 million cbills playing matches to get a mech I intended to sell, which only sells for 2.1 million cbills. I enjoy the game however so had a good time.

On a side note my F2play smurf account is up to 18 mechbays and have not spent any money on it. I'd say that's pretty generous all around on PGI's part that I've been able to aquire 14 mechbays for free in the last year (only 1 so far from CW)

Or again, problem solved if time extended into the weekdays, or over the course of two weekends. Pretty reasonable solutions imho.

It's a win-win. PGI gets the increase in player activity. Player base feels good about the game.

I think it's funny that people are complaining about others getting more then one kill in a match. Ultimately the prize in game is C-bills and the way the scoreing works Kills rule. No one is obligated to "save one" for someone else. Everyone gets so pissed when these events happen. I could only play sunday and so I never did compleat it but oh well. Players are like "useing consumibles is cheating" or "LRM whores thats cheating" or "I JUST NEED ONE MORE AND IF YOU STAND IN MY WAY I AM GOING TO SHOOT YOU!!!!". I think regardless of what you think about the challange, it's still just a game. PGI is trying to mix stuff up and players need to growup and realize that if it's in the rules it will happen. PGI lets players kill as many as they can, use LRM, consumibles and whatever else as long as it's not hax. The challange was fine, I just didn't enjoy the additudes of people playing it. PGI you need to realize though when you put out an event, it changes the entire game for that time.

Yeah ... the events are getting much more challenging, at least since the Victors challenge :(

I BARLEY managed to get the polygon camo ... and I am a bit disappointed that it came without any colors, I had hoped beeing able to use polygon white together with the blues I already have as a substituete for the Clan GhostBear colors.
