Here's a suggestion for the next useless poll: "Do you like cake?"

I'm still waiting for an answer from the Devs regarding cheese cake counting as cake.
Until then, I will have to decline participation in any cake related polls.

Even the smallest of Titans form Warhammer weights four times as much as the biggest MechWarrior Battlemech! An Imperator-class Titan could probably crush a Dire Wolf beneath its foot. Warhammer Titans have void-shields, for Emperor's sake! They have weapons that could level entire hive-cities!
No battlemech army can ever hope to match the power and awesomeness of a Titan legion.

QFT.
However, an AC can still take on any of them (AC 4 and AC for answer anyways)

I think the following picture sums it up nicely

but despite being a 20+ year battletech fan, the absolute BEST mech series in my opinion is Heavy Gear. Small mobile infantry mechs (called gears) that bridge the gap between infantry and gigantic tanks. Heavy Gear has a rich world and back story. Plus the designs are really cool and Dream Pod 9, the makes of Heavy gear, have a pretty kick-butt miniature line running.

Macross will always be my first love, but is a bit silly.
Mechwarrior grants the easiest access to mecha.
Heavy Gear has the best universe.
In the end, Heavy Gear wins out for me. The mecha just plain work in that universe, filling in the role between heavy infantry and light tanks.

but in my honest opinion most of the other mech games dont really stand up to the realism of MechWarrior.

W40K or Mechwarrior?
Well, Titans are quite big and strong.
Mechs are a lot cheaper so numricaly superior.
Maybe 40K.

choosing from the list and few other mentions here and there, my top 3 would be . . .
#1 Macross/Robotech - seeing this cartoon as a 12 year old boy back in 1985 just blew me away . . . transforming mechs = sexiness, yes i know that technically Battletech has them too, but the ones they do have look too similar to the Valkeries of Robotech (incert copyright infringment) and therefor will never appear in any games with the mechwarriror name this is also the same reason that the Warhammer, Riffleman, Archer and Merauders will never be as well
#2 Heavy Gear - the Mechs/Gears just look better for me, also add the fact that alot of the mechs/gears have one of my personal favorite weapon designs the "multi barreled cannon". nothing is as sexy as 3, 4 or 6 barrels spinning at high speed spitting out death and destruction.
#3 Battletech - Mechwarrior - i've been a fan for this franchise ever since i bought a copy of CityTech back in 1989 and especially after i picked up Mechwarrior 2 in 1996.
Regards
Masikai
