If fan Content could be shared through the social pages of MWO instead of just Celestials stuff/mech ads that would be nice

Anyways. What I like to see out of a good CM is someone who's willing to talk to us like people. While I get that there are certain demands that come with your job and there are things you can't say and ways to say things you can't use...I've had personal experience with the immense upswing in appreciation and rapport a playerbase can develop with a CM who leaves the marketing speak at the door and just talks like reg'lr folks. We can smell marketing/lawyer spiels from ten miles away, and I at least just immediately turn off my Care-O-Meter completely when I see it. Post on the forums and tell us what you like, what you hate (as much as your job allows, anyways), and...well, just try and be part of the community as much as you can rather than simple a gate between community and dev team.
If you're as honest and plainspoken as your duties let you be, then I at least will have your back 100% of the time when those duties mean you can't tell us something or you have to fall back on lawyertalk to make a certain point. This is a really damn rough job you've taken on and I'd hate to see it chew you up the way it's chewed up our last few.
Also, just stay off the Reddit altogether if you can. Those are twitchy bastiches over there, mang

Since you are new you may not have yet been informed of NPT.
That's No Pants Tuesday. Please conform to the dress code from now on, no pants allowed.
On a lighter note, no changes to GM support staff?
Best support I have ever encountered is right here and hate to see that change at all.
What I like to see from a CM is a high level of activity with the community. It's a huge benefit to everyone.

So.. My ideal CM for MWO? It's easy::
- clear and simple written expressions..
- available in this Forum within 10 minutes (7/24) for every player..
- shareing with the players every Dev-generated/MWO related free infos within 10 minutes (7/24) of it's publishing..
- knowing every MWO related datas/infos and their newest changes (or least to have a steady hotline to the guys who knowing that stuff)..
- clear and not too ugly voice..
- good humor and endo-steel nerves..
Sidenote: Don't forget, that many (mostly newer) players use this Forum, as their only info-source for MWO. If you don't put on your infos here too, they won't reach those players in time.
Good Luck!

Haha it's silly that people related this community more to the children's virtual world experience than the SD Gundam one.
Anyway I want to answer some of your posts!

I saw many of you are mentioning that you'd like to have the forums more up to date on news and info! I definitely plan to help with this. I understand it might be difficult to have to search for news or information so I'll do my best to have it available to you as easily as possible and as soon as I get it.

So Tina, my first question - What's your favorite Faction?
Follow up: What's your favorite Mech?
Could I get back to you on that question?

I'm glad to hear someone mention this and that you enjoyed them. When I heard that these videos used to be made I thought they were an awesome idea!

New to MWO, yes. my first couple games, my impression was "Whoa it kinda feels like a simulator". It's a lot of fun, whenever I'm watching streams I want to go back to playing immediately. I hope to get good! But I'm sure the community can help me with that!

I don't have a Twitter account yet, I might soon but I'll mainly be using the MWF2P Twitter for anything regarding news and info.

Quick question for you, have you heard of battletech or the series of games inspired by battletech before you applied for this job?
Another question would be who are you rooting for in the current iteration of CW? (No worries if you don't have a preference/don't know, it's understandable if you do not know the ins and outs of this game, as it's universe is quite expansive.)
Yes, I have! And for your second question, I'll have to answer another time!

We used to have a list of user-made guides and tutorials that was pinned in the New Player Help thread, separated into three categories (Getting Started, Basic Knowledge, and Strategies or somesuch like that). It was started by one of the former (and admittedly my favorite) moderators before the separation of the Publisher and Developer.
In new hands, it was left but unmaintained, and now it seems to be deleted.
It was a solid way to combine resources for new players in a one-stop-shop's easily accessible location by providing links to each relevant thread's guide/tutorial/etc, complete with a short summary and author credit for each.
I'm hoping that we might see this again.
Yes! We can definitely work on this and have it re-maintained~

I’m Tina, your new Community Manager!
I really look forward to getting to know everyone; I’ve been excited all week to say Hello! I am positive that we will get along great!
Your feedback/suggestions/wants/dreams/frustrations/happiness is all most important to me as I will be expressing them to the team, therefore I am all ears (or eyes rather) for you!
I would also love to hear the community’s thoughts on what your ideal community and/or community manager is like to you! Please share on this thread and feel free to ask questions too!
A little bit about my past, I have worked as a Community Manager for the game SD Gundam Capsule Fighter Online and a children’s online virtual world called Petra’s Planet.
You will most often find me on the forums and the social media channels, I also collect your suggestions which you send to feedback@piranhagames.com (You may not receive a response here though, it’s for collection purposes so please don’t send support related issues!)
Now let’s hear you!
Regards,
Tina Benoit
Community Manager
Welcome, Tina! Best of luck!
Your previous experience should be of tremendous help here, though be aware that the playerbase for Petra’s Planet probably has more collective maturity than many of our posters here
