One thing you're not including is hitboxes, so no, it can't. There's a reason why it's tier 2 and the clan 3 are teir 1. Not to mention range, and the fact that both the Timberwolf and the Stormcrow can do pretty much any build, and the Timberwolf as JJ.
You mean those terrible terrible clan hit boxes that have been broken sense they dropped in the first place? Granted Clan Mech shapes just do not do well to allow a good non TT set of hitboxes, but I am calling BS on this one man. I can't tell you how many times I've peaked around a corner to see what was going on only to back off with my Timbers nose (ct) bleeding from a super nasty IS pinpoint insta damage alpha.
Also JJs on a timberwolf are garbage and only suited for getting over those nasty pebbles known to stop mechs in their tracks. They don't let you turn faster, get a speed boost or anything, they just let you lift off pittifully into the air for a second before you slam back down where you where. JJs are garbage for most mechs frankly.
The DireWolf you never see because it takes to damn long to go anywhere and you can't boost it's speed any, the MadDog just BARELY got a glitch fixed where ammo in one shoulder would explode and the other shoulders would dissapear, but i you get in the face of a Mad Dog, they're gonna have a bad day, not to mention they have shoulders that go for days on their hit boxes.
The Storm Crow is really the only one I can see what you mean and all, but here is the thing.. That is our light, We have no lights to really compete with FireStarters, Jenners, Ravens, or even the Locust. Storm Crows where always meant to scout ahead and then move back to support the assaults. I see no reason to be pissed they can do their job especially when we have only lights that act like fragile mediums.
I will admit to a few advantages of clans, .. Speed, We mostly travel the same speed so it is easy to stick together. the TimberWolf is great at long range laser vomit and if you don't have EMC or AMS, the MadDog will rain on you till the LRMs run dry.. but.. That's about it. Longer burn times for longer ranges just isn't as great as others would have you believe.
