He's 'pissy' that a company who's known for doing shady things, is doing shady things.

Extending a deadline is "shady" where you come from?

Dude, go see a therapist. At least mental health professionals will get paid to put up with your BS.

Im glad PGI extended the bonus for others. Good Job PGI *thumbs up*
Do I want anything extra because of it? No.
Would I accept a small something extra as compensation? Yes.
Do I want that something to be a Firemoth (even sans MASC)? Yes :P

Yeah I still have no idea why the OP is going off.

They had a cut off then made it last longer with some legitimate reasons like lack of concept art etc.

If you're pissed, just politely ask them for a refund on the package, I bought it and if I don't like what I see I will just get a refund, quite simple.

Is he just pissy that other people can now get the extra variants?

Lack of concept art! you must be as naive as they hoped for. funny how the silouette fits the art perfectly. As if Alex colored inthe silouette?!? lol c'mon bro smarten up . I'm not nearly as concerned for the looks ,but rather how they preform in battle any way you cant see it unless your killing one. you crack me up. You again are missing the point entirely.

@Hades Trooper
What has been diminished is PGI's integrity.

You really don't get that they made a statement and by statement a promise,
They then sent out emails reinforcing their statement of limited time to get EXCLUSIVE CONTENT by adopting earlier then what others are willing to do. Adopt with out art, and minimal information.
So. They lied.

PGI took money with a promise to reward exclusive content by purchasing before a period of time.

It would be no different then PGI today using the same argument for this early adopter package saying, The Early FOUNDERS EXCLUSIVE(pheonix or whatever) CONTENT have been really well received, but we've received lots of feedback that the deadline wasn't convenient for some players, particularly in certain regions. ( I copied this and edited out Wave III to be the Founders Exclusive content in case you didn't know from here http://www.reddit.co...opter_deadline/ )

We have heard the community and are opening up to them because they didn't know about the game and or the mechs back then.
So to be FAIR to the community because. "IT IS WHAT THEY ASKED FOR".
We are opening up exclusive founder content for ANOTHER EXCLUSIVE time period because it is what the community wants.
For the good of the community.
Do you get it?

It has to do with integrity. With making a statement and sticking to it.
Break it and you can break any promise or statement. PGI has broken trust.
It has everything to do with being lied to through forums and emails.

One day, one minute or one year means little.
A dead line is a dead line.

They lied, so there is nothing stopping PGI from reopening any and all exclusives that they promised would be exclusive

PGI, I WANT ACCESS TO EXCLUSIVE CONTENT THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT AND IT WAS AN INCONVENIENT TIME FOR ME THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS GAME. So I should have access to it. It is also really cold in my region (What the hell does a region have to do with a dead line anyway)

And on that note.
Adder Event.

Since the WAVE III Early Adopters LAUNCH has been extended you have to extend the adder event that is celebrating this very launch.

RIGHT?

Because I know the community wants it.
I have seen many posts about how people just missed this level or that.

But alas, I don't feel that PGI should give me access to that content as it was EARNED by the early adopters and founders. They EARNED THE RIGHT TO IT BY ADOPTING within the time frame set. So YES THEY ARE SPECIAL and that is what sets them apart.

Now this is a crystal clear way of making this argument! WELL SAID! Now lets open a new thread on how many people would like to be in on the founders content. I know I would!

It's actually a flawed argument.

Why? Because it got extended. Not resurrected. Pretty huge difference.

Did it not end the 28th and get extended after it ended? I really thought it was AFTER it ended they announced it was extended.
So if it ends and one second passes or ten years and they reopen it, then it really is not an extension and then it is not a flawed argument. Did they announce the 28th they were extending it or was it infact the next day?

Still don't see why any one cares. It was a stupid short time. They rectified it after community outcry.

10 Pages of this nonsense..

Does no one remember the huge paypal/payment services crash recently? There were a lot of last minute punters that were unable to buy in because of it. I believe this is the main reason why it was extended.

But in any case, who cares? You're still pre-ordering something with no idea what the final product will be like, sure they might know more about how the Shadow Cat looks.. *shrugs* They could still all suck when we finally get them. At the end of the day you are just complaining that someone else is getting the same thing we are.. it makes no real difference to you.

Pushing back the early bird special on the Wave III pack is pretty crappy. Some of us took some large Pulse Laser and Machine Gun fire from the wife over this... What exactly do you plan to do for those that actually blindly showed support even though we couldn't see what two of the mechs even looked like, and had only a few days to do so???

Make your minds up and stick to your guns... You look pretty silly when you fold and change your mind... Just sayin...

**Edit** The wife thing is a JOKE...FYI... I guess a lot of people don't see the humor in that...

I was a large proponent of extending the 'early adopter' bonus to at least a few days (if not a week) after ALL the concept arts had come out. Expecting the community to put in a pre-order before even showing them what you had in mind is pretty crappy (and yes I put mine in on the day of availability, don't judge me, I'll buy the Clan Packs to support PGI and its something I decided a while back).

However, I was also a strong advocate for giving a small bonus to those that DID put their pre-order in before the end of the month (the original early adopter window) even if it was something small like a couple extra days of premium, free mech bays, an extra clan cockpit item set and some modules or c-bill injection.

Also, you may have been joking, but I did take some flak from the fiance about putting in $120 for something nearly half a year ahead of time for a game.

Extending a deadline isn't what this is. You can't offer an exclusive reward for a purchase before a set time, then after that window is over, triple it and offer the same reward. obviosly i'm right and you have no clue, as they are doing exactly as i suggested.

I guess thinking on a higher level could seem mental to someone such as yourself, but i assure you there's no need to worry. Thanks for the concern tho.

I just find it intensely amusing that vassago would be an RSI fanboy.

You're expecting that guy to make any kind of sense?

Anyway, I've gotta wonder how many of the guys pissing and moaning about this even spent a dime on any of the packs. I did, and the extension is completely a non issue to anyone not being a petty child.
