Welcome to the Clan light mech arsenal....stay a while and relish in all that is our fastest lights mech.
And I am the guy that said the Raven trial is still very strong. Well in all honesty once one knows how to play lights then it isn't that hard to use it. But Mist Lynx Prime stock version is just... I cry every time.

I remember grinding my first mechs out with a trial AWS 8T. kids these days with their suped up champion mechs and clam tech. Get off me lawn.
I was grinding for two months on a trial blackjack. Boating flamers. That 8T is actually not terrible, enough SHS to cool to an extent, LL to snipe a bit. Little slow but no biggy, as it has 6 and a 1/2 times more leg armor than the Mist. LRMs are bit screwed due to the torso ammo but still workable. Torso twist. In all honesty I'd rather have BJ-1X or AWS-8T stock in trial que rather than Mist Lynx Prime stock. That's how bad the MLX-Prime stock is.

No.
Keep the mech there to let the players realize that the fallacy "Clan is OP" is only true when you buy a bunch of omniparts to swap in for the best configs. Stock clan mechs with their limited ammo tonnage gets screwed with the PGI system, that's one of the big reasons people go to lasers.
So yeah keep the stock junk mech in there, awareness is a good thing.
Go play it ten matches and then tell me your average damage, average assists, average everything. Also tell me how much you enjoyed it. I already did about ten matches and I can tell you that my average damage was under 50 probably after running out of both LRMs and SSRMs and with a bit more of MG. Oh and tell me each round your survived. Most likely not.
Seriously this mech is no fun. Trying to find a niche, but it's just a waste of a trial mech slot that could've been set for any other mech.

Cheetah is faster, better armored, and better armed. It also has these really useful things called TORSO HARDPOINTS and its hitboxes will likely be better (i.e. arms won't be as huge from a relative standpoint).
The Cheetah is a 100% direct upgrade to the Lynx in every possible way, shape, and form, with zero compromises whatsoever in any area. It's as superior to the MLX as DHS are to SHS, or Endo is to Standard Internals.
Yes I know, I meant the Misty is gonna suck so hard. I'm betting I'm never gonna see that thing again after Cheeter comes in. Nor will I ever see lower tonnage lights in the IS side. Maybe if PGI gimps the Cheeter with a trolly flamer or something...

Oh... that.
Farming got "upgraded" with the new trial rotation.
Of the trial mechs... only the Stormcrow-C barely qualifies for being the "best" overall option. This is just a quick look at the current list. (The next best is the Kitfox-C.) Of course... that assumes you "like" LBX for newbies. (I don't, but humor the idea for a brief moment.)
Otherwise... I'll just stop because I'm dead tired.
Tbh the two mechs that I think are ggclose can't run it are the Garg and Mist. Even the Garg can have a small niche, but can't see anything in the Misty as of it's loadout.
Dwf is actually hella strong, as it is a minidakka. Just don't fire PPCs until out of ammo or in emergencies.
Even Ice Ferret has a small niche as it can stay 1000+ m away and snipe.
